Yes. These things are easier than running but burn more calories than walking. Plus you can watch movies while you use them.

not really it's about ~300 an hour same as walking unless you really up the intensity and do like "spinning" stuff.

Running is the best for me

really can't beat running and rowing for calories per minutes (unless you're into intense swimming) and for vascular health but you have to exercise restraint with it which people don't like.

Dif anon, but as far as I could tell based on what I read online bicycle is less likely to frick up your knees long term, isn't that true?
Also should I just do as much as possible every day or every other day

          Yes.

          >based on what I read online bicycle is less likely to frick up your knees long term,
of course they would say that. Running is fine for your knees even without shoes so long as you're a healthy weight. If people have issues with their knees and running it's usually because they're fat or have an inflammatory issue, or tried to run too much before giving their connective tissues the appropriate time to adapt.

You should start out with probably an hour a day 6 days a week at a medium low intensity. Then decide if you want to increase intensity or duration.

Losing weight and fat is all about diet. Exercise bike is great for working out your most important muscle, the heart. So use it, but you must focus on your diet.

I bought one of these recently. I wanted a normal one with a belt drive. Wife wanted a peloton. The compromise was a $400 used Nordic track from Facebook marketplace. I was hesitant because of the electronic parts, but it seemed like a good deal. Bike worked at the seller's house. Got it home and it doesn't work. Customer support will come look at it for $150

Personally I'd recommend getting a used road bike first.
Why? Because going outside on a bike rike is actually fun. You can go decently far in an hour, see new places, you get some sun, fresh air. If you then find that you actually enjoy cycling, you could get a stationary one for days when the weather is shit.

cyclist here, running is much better at burning calories and changing your metabolism.

I kind of yoyo with my weight and fitness level and although I like biking more I find it isnt as effective and running is. Once I am in shape I can cycle around 7-900 caloreis burned/hour according to most apps, but I can pretty much do that right off the bat with running and not even at a good pace. All the triathletes tend to train running more than cycling, and even casual runners seem to hop on a bike and keep up with me at my peak.

Yes, but you will need to pair it with eating less. Other cardio activities can burn more calories, but cycling is very easy on the knees in comparison to running.

No it isn't. You gotta go fast. That's the only thing that really helps. Intermediate fasting is good for a start
