I have never been to a doctor that have helped me long term with any problems. They have always just put a band aid on the wound and told me to see if it gets better, or said it's nothing I we can do anything about, instead of putting me through a proper screening and treatment.
Just 2 weeks ago I called the doctors office because I was so deep in my own mind and I was genuinely starting to get suicidal. They just asked me about some info about my lifestyle and so on and then said they would get a mental health professional to call me, but I still haven't heard anything.
I obviously didn't kill myself yet, but what priorities do they have that people who are thinking about killing themselves have to wait 2+ weeks to even hear back from them?

      Anonymous

The problem with lists like these is that they sound a lot more cool and intricate and complicated and ubercool then what they actually are. Its the "self improvement is self masturbation" exemplified. Its when you list out ordinary normal behavior but make them seem like they are part of some elite daily regimen that will make you super human. Its bullshit. What this fricker is saying is "get enough sleep, workout, eat healthy, go outside don't watch tv or internet all day" just like your fricking parents did. But he dresses it up with fancy language "HYDRATE MOTHERFRICKER" "LE HIGH PROTEIN DIET LE UBERCOOL MUH HIGH PROT DIET MOTHERFRICKER" "SALT BRO" . Its fricking bullshit. Being healthy is not bullshit, that is a good message, its the way the message is delivered. Its how he focuses on the small details and phrase them in a way to make it look exotic that is moronic. And that is what 90% of twitter is sadly. I read so many fricking lists like this its unreal

      > what's the order of habits to add to my life?
      > I can barely sleep more than 6 hours willingly.
Then you only need 6 hours. Don't stress it. The 8 hour thing is a meme. Trust me i know i spent years feeling defeated and sad over the fact i woke up naturally after 6 hours and couldn't sleep more.

What you should do is get on a beginner program for lifting.
Set up a diet for your self. The sticky is a good resource. 1.6-2g protein per kg bodyweight. 3-5 meals a day, 500g of veggies a day. Don't do moron schizo shit like fasting or OMAD
Do something outside, go for a walk, walk your dog, go for a coffee with your mate, go for a hike, go shopping.
purpose = have long term goals to works towards. Family career, or something you like to do in your life. Travel, bungee jumping, fricking a Chinese prostitute, whatever it is you need money so get a job
Meditation is highly overrated meme shit or maybe that is just my experience
No news - dude try doing something else then scrooling

        Anonymous

        >Then you only need 6 hours. Don't stress it.
The reason I'm stressed about it, other than lack of sleep lmao, is because this change seems fairly recent. I was doing my final project in my seniors about a year or so ago and crammed everything in a week sleeping less and less, going from 8 to 6 to 5 to 4 to 0 hours. After that my internal clock was fricked and still is. I wouldn't be stressed if I would wake up filled with energy instead of a groggy mess that spends one more hour in bed or just mindlessly scrolling.
I'm also fairly sure that falling asleep before 10 only to wake up at 12 without being able to go to sleep no matter how tired I feel and how "heavy" my eyes are isn't good. Changing my awake activities like work and uni obviously isn't something that I can do, otherwise I would adopt the owl life and experiment to see how to sleep to feel awake or at least not so fricking tired.
I'll admit I'm doing OMAD but that's just for the convenience of cooking everything once, eating once and cleaning the dishes once. I guess I can try to split it.
        >have long term goals to works towards
Not the right word, but I honestly feel kinda apathetic towards any goal.
With the food prices also increasing nearly monthly it's also difficult but I'm trying on that and getting 80-90g of proteins from 20-40g that I was getting years ago.
        >1.6-2g protein per kg bodyweight
Current bodyweight or the bodyweight that I wish to maintain?
        >No news
Shit, I didn't pay attention to that one. I actually stopped stressing over news back in february or so and the only real info about the world I get is if my colleagues are sharing news articles or if some youtuber makes a 10 minute video. I agree that not sitting with the news tab open every single day has been beneficial, not stress reducing really but just calming in general.

I thought you was a natural 6 hour sleeper from your previous post.

Its likely you got lifestyle influenced disturbacnes to your sleep and there is 3 things in your post that could be the cause
          1. stress/being tired from school/work. To much work can do that.
          >I'm also fairly sure that falling asleep before 10 only to wake up at 12 without being able to go to sleep no matter how tired I feel and how "heavy" my eyes are isn't good
Classic stress thing. This happens to me too when under period of to much stress and can also happen because of to much training. It can also happen when my diet is really shit. Which brings us to next point

          2. >I'll admit I'm doing OMAD
Going to bed hungry fricks your sleep up. Your body wakes you up because it wants you to eat. And not eating boosts your cortisol levels too which makes it harder to stay asleep. Split your meals throughout the day and eat 2-3 hours before bed time so you are not hungry. This will improve your sleep quality immensely. And if you are not eating carbs kill your self now because you are an idiot. In fact just not going to bed hungry might everything wrong now because the problem is are fricking your sleep by not eating which causes bad sleep which causes bad everything. (don't tell me you are also in a deficit and you are not eating carbs as well)

          3. Don't scrool while in bed. Especially not before you go to sleep this is bad sleep hygiene but so is doing it in the morning. Bed is phone/electronic free zone.

          >Not the right word, but I honestly feel kinda apathetic towards any goal.
You are fricking your sleep, you are on a diet pattern that can raise cortisol, and you are doing it while studying AND working which means you are very active and you need to fuel your body for it to function so that may affect your mood which again affects your perception of your long term outcomes.

Can't be that, although it's OMAD, I was usually eating it around 16:00-18:00 and I wasn't feeling hungry. I also won't let go of carbs, since it's literally ingrained in our culinary culture to have bread with every meal(although I reduced it to one large slice of about 50g of whole wheat bread). Also I eat rice and oats and get to around 180g of carbs. Don't know why but eating everything that has more fats without carbs disgusts me, be it yogurt, eggs. I can eat them fine but they taste so much better with just a few grams of bread or rice. I will not understand people that willingly throw carbs away only to feel like shit afterwards whilst spewing that they can anything they want after. Can't beat the law of thermodynamics.
            >Don't scrool while in bed. Especially not before you go to sleep this is bad sleep hygiene but so is doing it in the morning. Bed is phone/electronic free zone.
Didn't knew about scrolling in the morning being bad. Will see to that.
            >You are fricking your sleep
So basically, I need to make adjustments to ensure that I can sleep properly and have that 2 am "I will reach any goal I want" energy throughout the day and have motivation to work towards a long term goal.
