Is it a bad idea to take my 2 month old to my gym, with her strapped to my chest?

Is it a bad idea to take my 2 month old to my gym, with her strapped to my chest? Obviously this would preclude highly kinetic activities and the bench press, but I don't see the danger in doing dumbell work, pull ups, cable exercises, etc. with a baby on me. Plus it seems based and don't think it would be that distracting for others

My gym separates it's free weights sections from its machines. I struggle to see how any moron could screw up on a machine so badly to pose a danger to others, even if those others are tiny fragile humans

Your child’s life is not something you should gamble on even if the odds are 99.99% to 0.01%.

Poor kid is going to die via honey poison or something stupid.

There is no IQ test to be a parent. I would even argue contraception creates reverse eugenics where morons who can't figure out a rubber have tons of kids

You may have misread: I wrote "pull-ups"

I do pushups while she is next to me in her carseat.

What are you saying? We are suggesting that the gym is inherently some death trap for kids? I keep her right up against me the entire time and stick to various upright bodyweight exercises. I can see how bringing her near powershitters and high school crossfitters, where a lot less- controlled and poorly disciplined lifters are doing high-energy exercises, poses a serious risk, but those are entirely isolated from the parts where I would do my exercises. I also have been going where the traffic is lower. What am I missing here genuinely?

I'm pretty sure not a single gym in the world would allow a baby inside
      >what is civil liability

That's true, it's technically not allowed for the reasons listed above but as an individual I am not taking any more of a risk than I do driving around with her in the car. At least that's how I see it.

How did a moron like you become a father

I am simply considering this because being out of the house for more than an hour while my wife is at home with her hurts my focus and makes me feel guilty. If I can safely pull off working out with her, then that will enable me to watch her while being productive and allow my wife to rest. Obviously if there's real risk involved then I would stray away, but I guess I'm just failing to see how a reasonably alert and judgmental father would be subjecting their child to this at the gym.

      >not based

This isn't about getting pussy for having a baby with me you moron. It's about spending time with my daughter and contributing as a father more than I already am. In any case, taking the time with my daughter to let my wife rest has enriched our marriage further.

Before my son was born, my wife and I set up a home gym and made a point of always having us with us when we worked out so he could watch us doing it. It became a family ritual to exercise every morning, and he still joins us and his younger sisters without any nagging despite being 16. It is a great bonding experience, and if you can instill it young as something the family "just does" the better it'll be. It's to the point that his friends will come over in the morning to do daily calisthenics before school.

Every time I’m about to do a PR my wife wants to watch with our 1 month old and our 3 year old daughter always wants to mimic what I’m doing. Recently she deadlifted a 20kg KB.

I am not a huge hiker myself, but why someone would go on a treacherous hike with a baby strapped is beyond my comprehension. I refuse to do that unless there are guard rails on every descent, or if the hike is practically just a flat path
