Is it feasible to do OMAD while lifting? I thought of doing it for health benefits.

Is it feasible to do OMAD while lifting? I thought of doing it for health benefits. But I can't yet eat 3000+ cals in one sitting. Also, I guess you want to separate your protein intake somewhat. Is it impossible to have optimal gains on OMAD?

I do OMAD, but I lift light and have weight to lose. It seems to work fine for me. You could always try it to see how it works for you.

I'm lifting on OMAD and the only thing different is that I need one extra rest day before the DOMS go away, so it takes longer to recover.
OMAD is good for cutting and maintenance, but for recovery I'd suggest two meals a day at least.

Depends on how fat you are, doesn't it? Regardless, don't treat it as one meal but rather as one eating window. If you want to build muscle do 4-6 hours. Cutting, just stick to 2 hours.

ok. I'm a bit clueless on it, does 4-6 hour window have same longevity benefits as pure OMAD? also, just in case, I don't need to lose weight. I just wanted the health benefits of OMAD and to prepare for longer fasts.

What benefits? OMAD is good for losing weight by controlling ghrelin release and preventing binging, but it's just a small fast. I believe autophagy doesn't start until day 2 or 3 of a fast. So, if you need to eat more food for whatever goals you have, you will inevitably need to eat for longer.

David Sinclair literally said OMAD is the ideal longevity diet and that extends lifespan in mice by 30%.

You sound like a fatty crying about how they can't eat a certain way because it's too hard. Youre eating the wrong shit. Nothing is easy. Stop being a pussy

dude I weigh 160 pounds at 6'8" I just want health benefits ok

I did warrior diet for 6 years.

          how was it?

            >dude I weigh 160 pounds at 6'8" I just want health benefits ok

Then learn to read what I said. I said you sound like the fatties crying they can't stop eating just in reverse. If you want to eat a certain way you need to change the food you consume to achieve your goals. You crying you can't is no different then fatties crying that they can't. You can you're just not eating the right thing. Now kys we don't wanna hear you literally thrashing around bawling your eyes out.

yes, doing a fad diet for no reason other than some perceived health benefits is complicating things. glad we agree!

    >feasible to do OMAD while lifting
if you are cutting hard eat an hour or two pre lift.
Otherwise eat when you want and you should have good energy to lift.
If you are trying to gain weight.... there is no reason to do OMAD. You could do IF and have an 8 hour eating window if you still want kinda restricted eating.

Eating 3000kcal in one sitting might cause lethargy for a bit after eating until your stomach adapts.

You can't get fat eating once a day.
You'd really need to get out of your way to do so.
    Prove me wrong.
    >protip: you can't

      >unless you do it without going out of your way

I would eat 5k calories of dominos every lunch and only eat like a "small" (tub of ice cream) dessert for dinner

either ur statement is wrong or you made it impossible to beat

I could do it with cheesecake...probably.

Literally a bag of Doritos, a pizza and a gallon of milk. You'll get fat

I'd love to see you try and pig out like that on OMAD for at least a week before you quit.

I would eat 1 Dominos order, comprised of 5 thousand calories, for 1 of my meals, at 465.

That ALONE would make you fat.

To lose weight I just did CICO and weights, with a "cheat meal" on Saturday and a 36 on Sunday

I'll be ~200 in May starting from May 2020

was it worth? I know 90% of people I meet just say they started binge eating from it. I noticed lately I can't fast without binge eating anymore despite IF for my entire life, maybe the calorie deficit made me go wonky and I'll be normal doing it again
