      This, also trips of truth. I reached a breaking point and punched a hole in my window and now just avoid interacting with her as much as humanly possible.
      When you snap its not a willing thing either, its like electricity going through you its just natural motions as if you aren't in control so thinking "Well I can control the anger" is feasible.

          Noted, enlightened anon. I don't know how I'm supposed to make it out of this never ending death spiral. Right now, I still want to kill her. This is now a constant background thought.             You don't, that's life. If she died right now you would still hate her just as much as you do now, all you can do for your own piece of mind is dissect how it ended up like that and accept it as what it is and put your thoughts elsewhere. Its a simple but not easy answer, but its the only answer. You will never outlift your own mind.
            Also just keep in mind it ain't worth ruining your own life to get revenge when in the grand scheme it won't matter, because again when she dies it isn't going to be some burden taken off of you (emotionally at least, in a literal sense you won't have to be around her anymore physically) like when you kill a mob debuffing you in a game, the memories and emotions stay until you move past them in another way.

    It depends
    I use my moms alcoholism and seeing how it fricked her life up as motivation to not drink and live healthier, but the source of that motivation isn't hatred for her its a desire to not have what she does. I do feel anger towards her though, but it isn't the driving motivator.
    So I'd say no specifically to the anger, but the things you are angry about are good motivators
