is it possible to grow vocal muscles?

maybe this is the wrong place ask this but I would like to develop a really powerful manly voice, similar to Eddie Vedder

are there any exercises to help achieve this?

I don't know what the frick that even means but we're not talking about neck size here monkey, we're talking about vocal muscles. Completely different thing

Vocal muscles only do so much for voice depth/pitch if that's what you're asking about. Neck length and chord length/thickness contribute the greatest

Training the muscles just involves loud singing or very controlled loud talking, but it only does so much, adds to voice stamina more than anything. There's less you can do about voice pitch than you can about general physique.

I remember in speech class reading about one of the prolific ancient Greek speakers. He wrote he trained his voice to be louder by shouting at the sea. Try that.

Can't, voice isn't high pitched enough and I have a monotone delivery of everything

for a gay accent you don't have to modify your voice, but your speech patterns
try to increase your range of intonation, have more frequent intonation, use high pitched intonation, vary the tempo of your speech more, add vocal creak at the end of speech segments and use pitch and airflow to increase your volume instead of vocal weight
        also use more emotive phrases

I had to google half of what you said but thanks anon, I think I get it

Find the most bratty annoying woman you can and follow her around imitating her as best you can. This will serve to help you talk like a gay man and also knock her down a peg or two. It's a real win win

I'm gonna inject roids in my neck for science and you can't stop me

They're smooth muscle, not skeletal muscle. No voluntary control over them but calcium supplementation does increase the ability for smooth muscle contraction

exactly, magnesium is a great smooth muscle relaxant. We used intraoperatively for pain management and even some cardiac dysrhythmias.

If this works and fricks your ability to breathe, you may be able to undo the damage with magnesium

Do upward facing dogs and neck bridges (use a cushion.) For neck training.

As far as exercising one's vocal chords sing with a O shaped mouth for more bass vocals to come out and train them.

Drink water, juice and eat some greasy chips for better moisturized throat.

to get a "richer" more resonant voice you have to try to increase the size of the container that the sound resonates in
think of cartoon characters; a giant will have a booming, low resonance voice, whereas a goblin for example might have a high resonance voice.
try getting a feel for it, notice the difference between changes in pitch and resonance, and then see how you can modify it
the most important part of that is your throat, you notice if you're doing it right if your larynx is low, but your mouth matters as well

to increase vocal weight start at a neutral pitch saying a vowel like “ahh” or “iii”
let the pitch fall down to the lowest note you can do comfortably
don’t go into fry; fry sounds like a series of ‘pops’ and is somewhat rough
you will probably be fairly loud when doing this
if you go ‘buzzy’ or ‘brassy’, add breathiness; if it reduces the buzziness, then you might have been doing hyperadduction or pressed fry (avoid this)
slide back up, keeping the volume high
slide back down again, still keeping the volume high and repeat 1-3 times

don't know which one of those would help you more without knowing what your voice sounds like

Just google vocal exercises, preferably for theater. It isnt going to change the depth of your voice but it it will nonetheless be more powerful and clear.

Since we are talking about voice. Not sure if this happens to anyone else but: I have a deep voice, the thing is that I can't speak loudly. Whenever I go to a bar or party I have to pretty much scream , and even then nobody can listen to me. I don't know how to explain it but it feels like air is coming out and the voice doesn't get much louder. I also can't reach any highs when singing. Anyone here have any ideas? Vocal cord polyps?

Same here, strains my voice trying to talk loud enough but people still don’t pick it up well. I think emphasising consonants/stops and drawing out fricatives helps more than/as well as trying to get louder has helped. Getting louder but just for the low pitch isn’t going to overcome low pitch background noise.

you're not gonna get significantly deeper... that is resultant mostly from the morphology of the vocal chords and larynx, i.e. its size, shape, ability to resonate, mass, etc. I should clarify that these are NOT the muscles, but rather the "voice box" which is soft tissue and cartilage. However, you CAN train the muscles responsible for moving the larynx and creating the voice, which is basically what singing practice/lessons do. You might be able to get a bit more depth, but you're more likely to develop higher-pitch singing/speaking abilities than lower pitch ones, because it's easier to train the vocal muscles to contract the larynx than to open it. You might get a better singing voice and vocal control, but don't expect to sound more masculine.

Honestly if you really want a deeper voice just do roids long term. But also expect to look/age like shit and lose your hair

My voice in general went up a few pitches after taking singing classes for a while
I'm still a shit singer so worst of both worlds
