You cant heal your gums. You need surgery if they are receding, and to STOP the activity that makes them recede.
Pinhole surgery is the best option. The dentist makes a small hole in your gums and injects a collagen like material that stabilizes your gums. Its not painful, not that expensive and not gore like

          lol. lmao even
          >what is calcium, vitamin D and vitamin K
          >what is increasing the metabolic rate
you are either top goy or top israelite, which is it?

Your all talking shit, I have two dentist friends and a science degree. Gums can partially regrow with some supplimentation or surgery.
There is 0 evidence dosing vitimin C regrows gums this is literal placebo at best. Vaxines don't grow gums either you dumbass, go get some boosters.

You need surgery. They thinly slice off gums from other parts and stitch them to your receding gum lines are something. Super painful and expensive. Only way though.

They don't do this anymore. Now they use a synthetic and your real gum slowly invades it and overtakes it a part of your natural gum tissue.

        >synthetic
they get it from a corpse

depends, there are synthetic graphs now. They will take a piece of your body, likely from a redundant area, like your iliac crest, then use the stem cells to create a graph that your body is less likely to reject.

It's not from a cadaver, it's completely synthetic I think, it's called Mucograft. The periodontist tells me that over time, your own gum tissue overtakes the synthetic. I'm getting this procedure next month.

Oh thank god. I remember the videos they used to show to get you to brush in grade school. Gums being cut and stretched then stapled to the tooth. Apparently one of the most painful operations, belongs in a gore thread.

pretty much anyone over 25 has it a bit. switch to a soft brush and take your time gently removing plaque. remember plaque has texture of mashed potatos, when it hardens into tartar, no amount of brushing can remove it. brush twice per day as plaque hardens into tartar after about 24 hours.

long term you can also switch to a keto diet and basically never brush again

I tried using a soft bristled brush, brushed twice a day, last 2 visits to the hygienist I had some gingivitis. I use a medium bristled brush with barely any pressure on top of using a toothpaste with stannous flouride, my teeth feel much more clean.

if you concerned about gingivitis i would suggest oil pulling. you can swish around MCT oil in your mouth for 10 minutes and this will kill bacteria in your mouth. When ever i start to get a tooth ache or soemthing, i do this and it goes away in a couple days. you can also swish around salt water for a minute. i wouldnt use a medium bristled brush

its not that im concerned about gingivitis, it's the fact that I used a soft bristled brush for about a year and got gingivitis despite following all protocols. This is going beyond concern for gingivitis, I literally developed it and my hygienist had to clear it out. I also used a ADA toothpaste, regular colgate total.

I don't have any receding gums, or at least my dentist nor my hygienist told me about it.

water flossing fixed my gingivitis, it doesnt have to be an expensive one. mine cost 15 buckaroos and has worked fine for 2 years now. for the first few weeks it might be quite painfull tho

i would say yes because it doesnt clean the whole tooth, just the gunk between the teeth and under the gums.

your saliva and the mechanics of chewing food (albeit harder food like veggies) will take care of the rest. The only problem areas of anyone's mouth are between the teeth and under the gums.

Water flossing is a meme for braces. Use a string to actually be clean.

Brushing, flossing, and water floss/waterpik/dental irrigation are all valuable.

Nothing is going to replace brushing and flossing. Brushing removes tartar, flossing gets between teeth (both of these break up bacterial colonies which is super important), while water flossing also irrigates the gumline and gets where neither brushing nor floss can reach.

Since others have mentioned stuff, I might add you might want to drink more green tea and use Coq10 (ubiquinol) gel on your gums. Some reporting their gums kinda grows back but its probably just maintaining whats still there and prevent further damage to the gums. Also, chew xylitol chewing gums, it will help produce saliva for your mouth hygiene and the xylitol will kill off bacteria causing those gum problems.

      >trust the experts
Do you know what an expert is? Its someone who memorized a 20 year old text book and got a credential. Thats it. You cannot just shut your brain off and do what ever you told. People who do this are literally getting killed and their lives ruined as we can see in the past few years. You still have to bear the burden of thinking (its actually a gift).
Also have you never interacted with a dentist that kept trying to pressure you to let him pull your teeth out? Mosto f them only care about getting paid and doing the bare minimum legally required.

    dental student here.
gingival recession is caused by your own inflammatory response to bacteria. although it can also occur by repeated mechanical abrasion such as brushing your teeth with too much force
unfortunately your gum tissue cant naturally grow back to where it was originally even after treatment
we would have to do a tissue graft which is super straightforward if there is no significant gum/bone loss

can clenching at night do it

        Anonymous

it can but it would have to be severe and left untreated for a long time

your periodontal ligament (thing that keeps your tooth from moving in the socket) will get damaged from the heavy load on the teeth and remodel tissue over and over and over which ends up breaking down the bone and subsequently the gum tissue.
this is very very rare (probably only in 3rd world countries) but if your are concerned you can get a night guard

I probably did it for 10-15 years, teeth did move out of alignment, just had invisalign for a year to correct it, getting a smallish graft inbetween my bottom 2-3 teeth soon, the roots are good it's the good gum between the teeth that is gone

            Anonymous

in that case it was the invisalign that caused the gum recession. thats what can happen when you moved the teeth around. im sure your dentist will do a great job with the grafts. those pesky black triangles will soon be gone!

mild gum disease is reversible with professional teeth cleaning and good dental care. If you have severe gum recession it won't grow back though; you need to work with your dentist to figure out what to do. If you get your teeth healthy again you might be able to live with it and not worry.
Vitamin C isn't gonna do jack shit unless you have a deficiency. Your doctor will be able to tell you this with a standard blood test.
