    Is the main cluster a major city?
    If you do sit ups with incorrect form, they can cause damage (just like any other exercise). Sit ups are a suboptimal ab exercise.

      Yeah it's heavily biased towards population centers (so Boston and Springfield) since I haven't learned how to adjust for population

    I see them occasionally in Reading. Maybe try a forested area, or somewhere known for birds like Mount Auburn cemetery or more out west.

    It's basically a myth.
    I'm pretty sure the concept came from Mike Tyson saying he hurt his back from doing situps. But what the retards repeating it don't understand is that he was doing thousands each day. Situps aren't dangerous, doing thousands of reps of a single lift every day is what's dangerous. It's overuse injury, it's not like he snapped his shit from situps.
