No its not. As long as you're upfront with how many sets and reps you plan on doing and you're not interrupting their workout (asking mid set), it's fine you autist

    OP is retarded
    the answer is no
and even if it were weird, any awkwardness you would feel from asking for a spot would be infinitely better than the embarrassment from failing a bench press and having to call someone for help

This. I always tip people for helping me out. Even opening a door for me, deserves a tip. Checkout clerk in a supermarket? Tip. Mechanic? Tip. Doctor? Tip. Paper boy, tip (in the letterbox).

            Favor deserves gratuity.

wtf I tip for a good meal and service during the whole evening Im not tiping for fucking opening a door.Thats just thanks wtf imagine getting a dolar for every door open that would be like a 1000 dolars an hour for literally mentally retarded job that lasts a second.

In other countries staff are paid a livable wage anon, on average they work less, get more vacation time, and have benefits. Tipping isn’t always necessary, though it is a nice gesture, but is essential in the states due to our shitty wages for staff

I have never in my life seen anyone tip. Maybe in restaurant.

Do eurocucks really? But in all seriousness why would you boast about this, what is inflation like in your country? My cousins in cuckstralia told me they were able to buy a 3 million dollar house while being servers there. Does that make sense to you bruv?

No, and so long as you're not asking for a spot on a sub-1pl8 bench the person will be internally flattered that someone thinks their strong enough to trust with their life.

No, I’ve been asked multiple times and asked others multiple times, just try to catch the person between their lift and be clear on how many reps your going for and whether you need help off the rack. Anyone that has an issue with spotting another bro is a gains goblin fag

As long as it's between my sets I don't mind spotting people, I get bored just standing there resting anyway.

No. I'll specifically ask for a spot for when I work up to 3 pl8s and usually it's only skinny dudes around so they think I'm trying to mog them or something. One time I had to ask some random instaghoul whore and after my set she told me she had a boyfriend kek. She was the closest in the gym some broads are fucked beyond belief.

bro, everyone in the gym would be overjoyed if asked for spot, cause it means that you put trust on them

Do you people need to ask for a spot every single time you bench? Just learn to fucking roll it, and don't use plate clips as a last resort if you're too retarded to do the former.

Yes, it's very weird. You should not do this. I once asked a stranger for a spot and got kicked out of the gym and put on the sex offenders registry

Dude I'm cool with in the gym asked me to spot him on bench. As soon as he started his reps his penis just poked out of the slit in his pajama pants. I laughed and said "HA your dick is out!" And he looked down and started laughing and couldn't rack ithe weight and said "YO HELP bro" and I just laughed and said "no put your dick away first" So he laughed harder and yelled "bro PLEASEEEE" and then just rested 205 on his chest and used his hand to put his junk away. Helped him rack it after that. This was in the middle of an LA fitness at like 7pm. Place was packed. He gave me a lifetime N-Word pass so we're really cool.

Whenever I ask random retards for a spot they usually panic and start touching the bar even when I'm not struggling to "help" push more sets. These retards just steal your gains and you basically have to beg them not to touch the bar only when you ask them to. I just bench by myself and when I can't do it no more I usually do the roll of shame

      Anonymous

      >roll of shame
It's the roll of pride. It's you not being afraid of the lift, pushing yourself to your limit, and not panicking like a retard when you reach that limit. I've rolled three times in the same workout before.

You're probably fine as long as you just ask once. Some guy asked me to spot him the other day, I had no problem with it so I helped out. He just wanted to test his 1RM so it wasn't that big of a deal either.
I walk back to the machine I'm using, crank out another set, then I catch this fucker from the corner of my eye just staring at me waiting to ask for another spot when there were at least 3 other people working out nearby. Although it was kind of annoying I helped him anyways and never thought about the interaction until today. That goes to show how insignificant asking for a spot is. Even though this guy was kind of annoying about it, I never thought much about the interaction after it happened. Compare that to the actual autistic occurrences I think about daily, I think you'll be fine.

No, so long as you ask between sets most people won’t mind. Just tell them how many reps you’re gonna do and how you want them to spot (don’t touch the bar unless I say so, if I fail only help as much as I need, etc)
