There is no ultimate or optimal, that's just cope for dyels who can't stick to a routine for longer than a month
Your periodisation and volume are more important than your framework such as PPL/UL/Full body
This is why PPL is such a garbage program and why you only see incels doing it.
Sorry, I have things going on during the weekend I don't have time to go to the gym. It's great you can take a few hour break from playing world of warcraft on your Saturday to go to the gym but that's not gonna work for me.
For me? It's gotta be ULULUxx
its been the most popular split for the past few years. right now, most people would agree it is the best split for hypertrophy. but in a few years, as we learn more and more about bodybuiliding, something new might come out and dethrone ppl.
I see, but at that point why not just do a 3-day full body routine? you can have as much or as little upper body as you want and have to go one fewer day than UL
what benefits does this have over 4-day UL or 6-day PPL?
I like it because on the upper body day I get to do chest/back supersets and the pump is unbelievable. Also it's the only day I can do pullovers because it works lats and chest together, and it's my favourite exercise.
Doing U L x P P L x because it fits my week, one L has deads & front squats, other has RDLs and back squats. May be stupid, may not be, I dunno, I'm not great at this.
it's the preferred split of insufferable homosexuals whose entire personality is weight lifting for sure
personally i think going to the gym 6 days a week is excessive and smacks of trying to rush the process for ultimately diminishing returns
You guys are all ignorant, like the split isn't as important as how you progress.
You won't linear progress that much, which means eventually you will have to progress and hit PRs less frequently, weekly, then every 2, 3, 4 weeks etc. This means you need to change your reps and sets a lot more on the days when you aren't PRing.
You guys repeat the same exact workout every time, same weight, reps, sets and are probably stuck aren't you?
Just magically training PPL or UL doesn't say anything about the workout itself, you would need different push pull leg days, they shouldn't all look the same.
yes im saying in reality if you want to progress you would have to have like 8 different pushes pulls and legs alternating them all by weeks
doing the same sets and reps wont make you stronger after a while you will stop progressing
No
Wrong
Then why did you fricking ask idiot
Post body dyel
What is then
There is no ultimate or optimal, that's just cope for dyels who can't stick to a routine for longer than a month

Yes
moron
Post body tripgay
Don’t need to. I know I’m jacked
im really enjoying it atleast
Post body
Who the frick has time to go to the gym 6 days a week? Does it really give you much more gains than 4 or 5?
The point is to work out each muscle group twice a week
This is why PPL is such a garbage program and why you only see incels doing it.

It's Saturday now and you're on IST posting about how cool you are
>having a few minutes to spare means my whole day is empty
It's a Saturday and you're trying to convince people on IST you aren't an incel
You sound like a complete homosexual.
>just getting my IST session in bro
I've got a home gym so I work out usually 6 days in a 7 day stretch. I do a weird mix of a PPL/brosplit though.
its been the most popular split for the past few years. right now, most people would agree it is the best split for hypertrophy. but in a few years, as we learn more and more about bodybuiliding, something new might come out and dethrone ppl.
What about
P
P
L
x
U
L
x
I started doing that a few weeks ago, I like it
what benefits does this have over 4-day UL or 6-day PPL?
More upper body than U/L and you get one day of your life back vs ppl
I see, but at that point why not just do a 3-day full body routine? you can have as much or as little upper body as you want and have to go one fewer day than UL
full body routine isnt optimal for gainz after youre through the beginner phase
more like PPLULxx
I like it because on the upper body day I get to do chest/back supersets and the pump is unbelievable. Also it's the only day I can do pullovers because it works lats and chest together, and it's my favourite exercise.
Guy looking like he's about to mount The Red Comet
Underrated riced out mecha appreciator.
Upper Lower is superior
I do UL so I'm biased but I think it's an better framework for organising workouts.
I wouldn't know where to put deadlift in PPL
for me, its lower, upper, arms/delta, lower, upper, delts
Doing U L x P P L x because it fits my week, one L has deads & front squats, other has RDLs and back squats. May be stupid, may not be, I dunno, I'm not great at this.
This sounds good, only time will tell if it's moronic or not
My man, doing the same for deads and squats. Finished off by some nice leg curls and extensions both leg days gives my legs a great punsh
these homosexuals always crop out their legs hmmm I wonder why.
Common Sunrise! Remake it!
They did. It sucked.
I like PPL because I have time to go to the gym 6 days a week. Is it optimal? Idk but it's working for me.
If you're seeing results and you enjoy it stick with it
Push pull squat hinge carry
Push, rest, Pull+legs is the best
it's the preferred split of insufferable homosexuals whose entire personality is weight lifting for sure
personally i think going to the gym 6 days a week is excessive and smacks of trying to rush the process for ultimately diminishing returns
TLDR: upper/lower for life homie
50% legs is imbalanced
so do a bit of upper body on leg day as well, i usually hit biceps and triceps on leg day as a reward for getting through squats

they aren't the same, though.
push1, pull1, legs1, x, push2, pull2, legs2, x.
But, I do bro split so whatever
yes im saying in reality if you want to progress you would have to have like 8 different pushes pulls and legs alternating them all by weeks
doing the same sets and reps wont make you stronger after a while you will stop progressing
if you are lifting 6 days a week, unless you're doing one exercise per day, there's no way it's intense or sustainable for longer than a week
PPPXPPP
No. It’s good but leg heavy thus not best for aesthetics especially natty. Legs will outstrip upper body
PPPPPPP
There is no such thing as natty aesthetic
Is this guy natty? He's not big, but it's basically peak physique.
Except for the disgusting tattoo of course
I like push rest legs rest pull. Lifting three times every five days gives just the right amount of recovery for me.
Yes.
No, that would be full body
>working your legs out beyond bare minimum to not have chicken legs.
I lunge with 80lbs on my back and trapbar deadlift 315 lol
Arnold split is better if you have the capacity for it. a lot better volume on the arms and shoulders
