    I never used preworkout. Needing preworkout to work out, is like needing music to work out. Like needing fancy gymshark clothes to work out. Like needing protein shakes to work out. Its literally just marketing that can make your life 1% easier for a totally unreasonable price and not always the most healthy or efficient choice.

      make ur own preworkout with the ingredients you trust the most to get the job done
      even oatmeal porridge and a banana 30min before a workout makes the muscles feel fuller

      adding 25-50mg caffeine & citruline and youll be at least optimal range for a solid pump

        yeah sure but loading your nutrient storage is, I suppose, something different as a preworkout in the sense of OP.
        If you want something for pump you can definitly buy that yourself, but I'd never buy some premixed chem wienertail. Not because I'm scared but its usually overpriced bs and like you said I just drink a coffee if I feel like I had a long day

          definitely not worth the price to buy some proprietary blend preworkout
          they usually all contain the exact same ingredients & always boils down to ingredients being either underdosed
          or containing artficial flavours that are far from the best options or arent even providing great quality products.

          therefor always best to buy ingredients individually in bulk but then it comes down to the sacrifice in time
          that might even make it best to find a brand you can trust like jotunheim

    Short answer: yes.
    Boring answer: it's not strictly nessisary unless you're doing sessions over an hour or pushing upper intermediate volumes at which point lifting without it becomes such a joyless unproductive grind you'd struggle to actually push yourself hard enough to make gains without it. I still don't use it but I don't do long sessions or work anywhere beyond the minimum volume I need to see numbers go up.
