Far from it. However, internet forums are the worst place to discuss his ideas.
I suggest listening to his interviews on YouTube, every single one of them has a little gem of knowledge that I find useful even after 4 years of following his philosophy.
    May he rest in peace

He has some interesting insights surrounded by weird anecdotes and beliefs. He reminds me a lot of Morley Robbins

mostly not, though there are some dodgy saying of his that should be taken with a grain of salt
    >fish bad
no shit fish oils and farmed obese salmons are bad but a can or two of deenz a week won't kill you
    >starch avoidance
i think he got softer on this, but starch are better than nothing if you cook it properly
    >veggie and fiber bad
veggies aren't bad, just unnecessary if your diet is complete, and some fiber is important if you don't want to have liquid shits everyday, agree that the fiber recs are too high

      >>fish bad
He did recommend low fat fish, just not fatty fish.
      and fiber bad
He was fine with well-cooked vegetables, just not things like raw greens or whatever. Most "eat more fiber" types don't bother distinguishing what type of fiber, Peat's carrot salad is a good type of fiber for instance.
And I don't believe this idea that no fiber = liquid shit, if you're having liquid shits you have dysbiosis or some other kind of allergic reaction.

Very bad, they have significant amounts of omega-6 and no omega-3, not even the ALA that has a small conversion rate to real omega-3 EPA/DHA

minus the liver this is almost my diet but i get more calories from dairy than fruit you'd really have to eat a lot of fruit not to considering an apple is like 70kcal and a yoghurt is 400+
just because i like eating it though i worry it's bad i need more vegetables but they're so much effort to cook yummily

Ray Peat himself seems like he switched up his diet all the time right to the very end, including many things that wouldn't fit a "ray peat diet" like oatmeal/starches, spinach and other green vegetables etc. Which sort of does drive home the point it's about trying things yourself and seeing how you and your body respond to things rather than blindly following a set of rules or set in stone ideas.

It's insane that IST will think THIS is crazy when every mainstream health organization agrees on it. Omega fatty acids are ideal for heart health.

        >when every mainstream health organization agrees on it
exactly why you shouldn't believe it. everyone is obese under their watch.

Not all polyunsaturated fats are omega-3-6-9s, and in any case, PUFAs oxidize when exposed to heat and oxidized foods cause cancer and heart disease. This is just a fact.
Taking a fish oil supplement or drizzling raw flaxseed oil on a salad is not the same as eating processed snack foods fried in sunflower or canola oil.

So many dietary crackpots online and a lot of them disagree with each other. The mainstream all agree with each other, but obviously they are wrong. Now the only thing I’ve seen the crackpots all agree on is NO PUFA, and I’m following that now.

Put dairy and meat where fruit is and that’s literally all you need
