The only and I mean only study for that was done on an ULTRA cyclist that trained over 10 hours a day every day to ride thousands of miles. Cycling in normal amounts is good for your erection quality because you are a cardio god.
example: the other night i went to the bar and one of the bartenders was hot af; tall athletic with curves; but she stayed talking to one chad all night while she "worked"; could tell she wanted his dick. thats his normal life and he doesnt have to work for it or overcome "challenges" or watch PUA or redpil or black pill
If you're doing it for 20+ minutes three or more times a week, yes. FFS look at the civilized world now. We're lounging ourselves to death. Anything that gets people moving with a higher heart rate, on a regular basis, is good.
If you skate faster and/or longer every time it is. There's also pure lard factories just doing grinds and shit on them. A lot of people just skate to look gay now too. It's all in how you use them.
You really need a closed area to rollerblade for cardio. Most streets/roads are way too rugged for you to get good speed and the cagers will murder you because they don't have any laws.
Parking lots are often better asphalt and made of long straightaways for sprints. Bike lanes to get there and back, if you live in a city that has them. But be sure to learn a good stop that doesn't take too much lateral space: power slide, hockey stop, soul slide, or magic slide.
I'll burn 600cal in a 90 minute session according to my fatwatch. But my HR stays quite low the entire time.
So no, its not good cardio as your aerobic system doesn't get much of a workout, but you can use it to burn calories quite effectively. Running is better for fitness purposes but skating is more fun, so I do both.
nah not impressive but it is a fun form of exercise. Dat adrenaline. Im quite lazy when I skate too. You could easily burn 1000cal in 90 minutes if you wanted to.

Pic related. Muh skates.
was gonna post this. it depends on your type of rollerblading. if you're at a skatepark you can burn mega calories just pumping around, especially if you pump up and down (with some jump spins) on a vert ramp while also striding. i don't want to add in grinding etc which burns even more calories but is a complex skill that takes time to learn with way more risk.
>So no, its not good cardio as your aerobic system doesn't get much of a workout, but you can use it to burn calories quite effectively. Running is better for fitness purposes but skating is more fun, so I do both.
Nah it's great cardio because you can go hard since it's low impact unlike running. With running the impact and jarring will wear you out way before you stress your cardiovascular system.
On skates you spend too much time literally just standing there and freewheeling along. All those short rests add up and keep your average HR well below the anaerobic threshold. The sustained effort required to run distances is what makes it better cardio imo.
Skating is still lower impact than running. I took it up cause I'm fat and was getting bad shin splints. Sure you can coast, but you don't have to. Just get an HR monitor and keep your hr in the target zone. Or, just go hard.
RB Cruiser. Good, comfortable, popular, customizable hardboot. You could use it for the rest of your life or upgrade to different styles of boots and frames depending on what discipline you want to be in.
i've got the RB110 3WD, no point fricking around with little wheels. Wish it came with 125s the RB boot is the only one that fits my big ass feet. Gonna get some NN Sumo 4x110 frames one of these days.
the ones in op's pic are xsjados, you use a specialized 'shoe' to lock in. but they tend to look a bit bulky. i'd recommend razors or themskates. as for recreational blades...powerslide has some cool looking freestyle ones.

I wanted to start rollerblading, but my city is full of hills and bad aslphalt, so that's a big no no... And I also hurted my ankle skateboarding, is still hurting after 3 months X(
I'm 53. I started when I was 47 or 48.
I would go 4x80mm for a beginner, or 4x90mm max (for city skating - I know nothing about grinding rails, that shit is for young people). The bigger wheels add and inch and a bit to your height on the skates, and make the angle you have to push at to start a slide more extreme/intimidating.
You might need to wait for your body to heal. Get used to that, welcome to your 30s and beyond. Don't cheap out on pads. They've saved me countless broken bones.
It's definitely not something everyone does anymore. But there are loads of things to learn on YouTube: Bill Stoppard, Flow Skate, City Blades, Mushroom Blading are my regulars, with varying degrees of wizardry. There are loads more.

I'll check those out, thanks. Is rollerblading good for the inner thigh?
I did. It's actually fairly easy picking up any women at a skatepark since most of the people don't even bother to talk, they expect their tricks are somehow going to magically make girls talk to them. no one cares
At first, no. You're just trying to stay upright. Once you get some technique, you work as hard as you want. For example, backward starts: it's just a C cut and a couple of crossovers, get as much distance and as fast a turnover as you can, then slide to a stop and repeat. Sounds easy: after a few reps, it's not.
I have sprint days and skill days. Sprint days are gruelling. Skill days are for fun.
I'm older and my knees told me I was done running. I have way more fun on skates than I ever did running.
My setup is CCM Ribcor 70Ks adapted with 4x80mm frames. I rocker the front and back to about 76 mm to start and then wear from there. The most important thing is to be sure you get skates that fit. Foot pain is awful.
My parents met skating and I did it since I could walk. Fast forward to my 20s and I move to a big city which has a skating rink pretty close to my house.
I start going 3 evenings a week. Not only did I get to the lowest bf of my adult life and some greatly improved coordination but the girls that frequent the rink are absolutely insane.
As others have said it gives back what you put in. If you push push and then glide for 10 yards then nothing is happening but if you are constantly pushing forward and crossing into turns then your results will be much more noticeable.
If you want cardio go for a run
If you are injured and the impact of running hurts, which is understandable, swim
Swimming and running are the only forms of cardio you need.
>JUST ROOOON
Rooners are degenerate.
Biking is the ideal cardio, but for OP he should do what cardio he enjoys the most, and I guarantee rollerblading is way more enjoyable than ROONING.
t. Fatbody
Legs have existed for millions of years longer than bicycles dumbass
Oogruk, how are you posting this from your obsidian spear and large rocks?
Nice hustle tons of fun!
>Biking is the ideal cardio
Ideal for erectile dysfunction more like

Well I guess that comes in handy when you and the guys tear the lycra off each other
Ive literally never heard this before and Im in the cyclist capital (netherlands)
It's because Americans ride cheaply made bikes with shitty saddles.
>burns 0.00001 calories/hour while crushing your balls
truly the ideal form of cardio bros
kys lunglet
Any form of cardio that is fun for you is the best form of cardio.
Pretty much this. Just do whatever's fun and doesn't hurt you. If you don't care about fun, do whatever's convenient.
Has Wout had his way with her already?
she's a speedskater. The best speedskater used biking to get in shape.
Do you enjoy doing it? Then yes, otherwise no. This applies for any form of cardio.
Biking is better
Can coomfirm. Had to tailgate a hot bikechick today for one minute. Totally worth it
I frick girls like this on the regular
If real, then how?
Step by step instructions that I can replicate pls.
chads drown in high quality pussy.
example: the other night i went to the bar and one of the bartenders was hot af; tall athletic with curves; but she stayed talking to one chad all night while she "worked"; could tell she wanted his dick. thats his normal life and he doesnt have to work for it or overcome "challenges" or watch PUA or redpil or black pill
Sounds like you got a crush on this Chad guy.
No real human talks like this
it doesn't destroy my knees, so its good in my book
I feel like there would be far too much coasting for it to be good unless you're always going uphill

would love to get into this but skates are expensive
A good set of skates is like $300 and that will last you for the rest of your life (plus changing wheels every 6 months)
A entry level road bike is like $1000
I have a hybrid mountain bike that I got cheap, original price 1200 I paid 400
I don't get why people like road bikes so much
I only do rollerblading for fun in the weekend.
I do jogging + jump ropes for cardio.
If you skate faster and/or longer every time it is. There's also pure lard factories just doing grinds and shit on them. A lot of people just skate to look gay now too. It's all in how you use them.
I thought about trying to get back into rollerblading, but I dont want to spend $400 for something I dont know if I will stick with

>600 calories in 90 minutes
is that supposed to be impressive?
you can burn 600 calories in 90 minutes with a brisk walk
nah not impressive but it is a fun form of exercise. Dat adrenaline. Im quite lazy when I skate too. You could easily burn 1000cal in 90 minutes if you wanted to.
Gay blah blah
A bit more fun and physically/mentally challenging than a brisk walk.
He's very good.
>600 calories in 90 minutes with a brisk walk
yeah if you are a hamplanet
180 lbs doing a 15 minute mile would be 600 calories in 90 minutes.
bullshit

Hey, what’s the hardest part about rollerblading?
braking.
the most important skill for rollerblading is having good braking techniques and literally being able to stop on a dime
if you want to do any city skating without getting killed instantly, you have to be able to brake
that that joke was originally about skateboarding in an episode of the sopranos and skateboarders stole it lmao.
not being able to jump off your skates like homosexual boarders
>So no, its not good cardio as your aerobic system doesn't get much of a workout, but you can use it to burn calories quite effectively. Running is better for fitness purposes but skating is more fun, so I do both.

Not busting your ass when you hit a crack or a pebble while skating at 20+ mph lol.
Running is low impact if you do it correctly.
On skates you spend too much time literally just standing there and freewheeling along. All those short rests add up and keep your average HR well below the anaerobic threshold. The sustained effort required to run distances is what makes it better cardio imo.

Sudden falls: elbow pads, knee pads, wrist guards. I feel like I'm naked if I go without.
I usually just wear wrist guard palm slider things, but I've busted my knee up pretty good, should probably get some knee pads really.
can you recommend me a good pair of nice skates?

please stop posting underage individuals on this board. you have been warned.
also what's her ig
Are you a jannie? Just clean it up, brosky haha. Don't know her IG, sorry.
I'm almost 30. Is it too late to start rollerblading? Is 80mm 3 wheels good for a beginner?
This rollerblade seems good and inexpensive for me.
I'm 53. I started when I was 47 or 48.

Thanks for the info, my dude. The problem is to learn how to ride them rollerblades all alone... Plus, I don't know how my bad ankle will handle it.

Will I be able to get a cute rollerblading gf if I become a good skater?
maybe, I got a cute gf and we started rollerblading together
I did. It's actually fairly easy picking up any women at a skatepark since most of the people don't even bother to talk, they expect their tricks are somehow going to magically make girls talk to them. no one cares
