the average American farmers market is full of people who have a "side hustle" selling bulk fruits and vegetables they bought from the grocery store that morning at marked up prices. You have to drive way, way out into the country to find a legitimate farmers' market, and usually those only happen a few times a month during the harvest season. There was a great one in the town I grew up in, usually had about 15-20 tents sent up. Not much variety but at least it was actually grown locally.
thats sad. ive already heard amerimutts have to drive often to get to the grocery store in the first place, instead of being within walking distance
farmers markets are somewhat easy to find here, you do have to drive a bit out but it's usually best to just buy huge quantities and freeze it. especially meat and fish, idgaf about quality of veg as much, even though it makes a huge difference. also important to always buy in season, oranges in the summer fucking suck and watermelons in the winter are impossible to find
whatever lasts long is easier to stock up on, i havent had honey, oil, etc from a store in months, always just get large amounts since it takes long to go bad.

Not only all that but even if there were legit farmers markets around there's literally no reason to think anything there would be produced in a better way than any of the shit that lands in a grocery store. Only benefit would really be that it's more fresh.
Some areas in San Diego shut down streets for street fairs that have more than just food. It is all overpriced, which doesn't make sense when they really have no rent or anything, maybe fees to setup.
You think in California they wouldn't have fees or even care where you setup shop on the street. LA basically got rid of permits for street vendors as they're less likely to fine them. For some reason they'll still enforce it for food trucks.
Do they still send out ads? I have a Sprouts and Aldi close by and used to get ads every week, then they stopped sending them. I can understand if it's to save money since everything is online.
Yes
>told to buy things at a farmers market
>goes to buy at some corpo hippiefest which calls itself a farmers market

I knew a girl who sold pottery at a farmer's market and the fees for a spot or a table were insane.

Nah it's overpriced. Only good for certain specialty items. I like Albertsons.

A DBS Hispanic would post winco. Great for your food truck supplies I guess. Shit for everything else.
Post store
Fruits can be pretty cheap and they always have meat at least 50% off if you're early enough.
They're still slightly cheaper than Walmart
Not worth being near so many mexicans
Fuck off loser
You're brown, you're the loser here
From the times I've been there it seems popular with buff dudes which I thought was strange when I noticed it.
I went there today and the onions sucked. Looked like they fell out the back of a truck. Meat prices were good though.
It's about the same price as Whole Foods, just smaller.
sprouts and whole foods are pretty good. they had every type of the cold brew I like. the fancier supermarket near my house has raw milk though
sprouts sells raw milk
maybe not at every location, good for yours though
Usually tastes foul. I blame plastic and light.
lol this poor bro needs to walk around with quarters so he can actually use a shopping cart
Their store brand cottage cheese is the best.
sometimes sprouts has cheese curds
