Is the cyclical ketogenic diet good for weight loss? Has anyone tried it? Do you have any tips for starting it?
I'm already tracking my calories, and doing heavy cardio which is fine, but would cyclical ketogenic be better for weight loss?

Man, I've been getting good results, I've managed to go from (5'10) 198 to 189 in about a week and a half just by tracking my calories and switching to fat, but I want to get to 175 by the end of May. If Keto isn't good, do you have any other recommendations?
>198 to 189 in about a week and a half
Pretty sure thats going to be largely water weight, you will have lost some actual fat though
>Other recommendations
Try to eat minimally processed, CICO, exercise, make sure you're sleeping, avoid stress, caffeine. Its just going to take time. Fasting can be an option
Triple 3s. What do we say for those digits? I'm new.

Gujira. Nowadays he's moved on from doujins and is writing a manga about an office man dating an eccentric big tiddy pet store worker who loves lizards. Now I'm not gay but I do enjoy a good shota doujin.
OP here, I remembered this was part of a whole series, but didn't remember the creator, thanks Anon.
Thanks king wagmi
Repugnant.
What you don't like the drug angle? Nagi Ichi wrote a very nice and wholesome series of a salary man having sex with elf shotas.
That sounds a lot better you should love your shotas not mind break them with drugs and sex
>Now I'm not gay but I do enjoy a good shota doujin.
same but straight shota where the milf rapes and dominates the young boy
All diets come down to CICO.
Keto is good because you can OMAD without getting hungry and don't crash to sleep by eating carbs, otherwise you can get the same results by eating 1200kcals of McDonalds every day (and still lose weight).
I mean, I understand this very intimately-- I started at 280, my issue was more of a Platue at around 210, which I got over by adding a cheat day to restore my old metabolic rate. (Speaking of cheat days, how much should I eat to reset my metabolism?) But now I wanna lose weight fast. Would just limiting myself to like 1200 calories and having a cheat day once a week be good enough? Normally I do about 1600.
>speaking of cheat days, how much should I eat to reset my metabolism?
You're overthinking this. Just stay on a deficit.
>But now I wanna lose weight fast
Not going to happen. The less fat you have, the slower you are going to lose it. Stay on a deficit.
>Would just limiting myself to like 1200 calories and having a cheat day once a week be good enough?
Cheat day once a week is too much. Once every two weeks and be sure to do cardio on the same day so you don't go over maintenance.
3kg/7lbs per month is a very good pace.
My go to to break a platue is if I stall for more than a couple days I start fasting until it breaks. It's never failed me before.
lyle mcdonald basically has a super fucking autistic version of this where you do like 5 extremely low calorie keto days with very specific workouts, then a refeed day where you eat 600+ grams of carbs
there are a few guys who have run it online with great success, google ultimate diet results
i'd say on paper yes, it's a good strategy for weight loss while maintaining performance in the gym- but you have to realize that going from extremely high carb days to very low calorie keto days back to back is going to fuck with your hunger signaling badly, and you might not be able to stick to it
i do something similar although it's not ketogenic it's just 35% under tdee 5days a week then two refeed days. Which I think is jeff nipards bastardization of lyle's thing. The hunger isn't bad if you restrict the eating window. I basically eat about an hour before a workout and then after total eating window is about 3 hours and it makes cutting pretty easy and makes the ups and downs of keto feel like nothing because I'll periodically throw in fasted cardio and p-smf for that last 2% body fat.
Does Nippard have a video about this? How much did you eat on the refeed days?
maintenance with extra carbs. I'll go look for it it's where he's discussing various cutting strategies.
Thanks g, will watch
here it is. I don't really jeff all that much but I don't think he willfully misrepresents anything so that puts him head and shoulders above a lot of the 'le science lifter' guys that are just an absolute cancer.
neat, danke
eat 50g of carbs prior to workouts that will require them (i.e. lifting heavy). eat keto the rest of the time.
Not sure keto is good if you like cardio. You'll get gassed pretty quick without carbs in your system.
If you feel any pain when squatting, just do this as a warm-up. Thank me later.
