        squats hurt my back

Squats are bad for the spine due to all the weight at the top. It's not gonna cause you trouble now while you're young, but over time it will be noticeable and will inevitably lead to a slipped disc (assuming you're actually squatting heavy and not just babby weights)

The only reason old frickers have to worry about hurting their backs is if they don't and haven't trained it

im currently in a shitty gym with no squat rack, so all ive got is that
what is the usual ratio of that leg press (seated leg press) to squat?
ive found a BB forum thread but they were using the inclined leg press that is easier than the seated one

It's the only leg machine that can make me tap before total failure, which is why I'm focusing on it exclusively right now. I'm not hitting 100% intensity until I can go past failure on the pendulum.

Asian boomers at my gym keep fully extending and its pissing me off. I swear to God I don't know why old people do shit without researching how to do it first.
