    What helped me was drinking A LOT of water. Around 6 litres of water (like 2 gallons I think) per day in my case. That keeps the hunger down

    I genuinely don't understand how hard can it be to just not buy food.

    you need to reduce blood glucose and insulin spikes as much as possible. The easiest way is keto, if you don't want to do that then follow these ideas:
    - limit sugar and simple starch to minimum (white bread, rice)
    - the order of meal components matters. Start with the salad (or have a glass of fiber), then eat the protein, finish with starches (potato, etc)
    - if you crave sweets either have them as desert on full stomach or just before physical activity so that the sugar gets burned without requiring insulin

    I’ve been doing day long water fasts during this cut about once a week. Unlike previous cuts, I don’t seem to hit any walls. The fasts suck but when I get really hungry I tell myself it’s body’s last cry for calories before the fat cells shrink and when I go in for my weekly weigh in I’m consistently down 1-2 lbs.

    That little mental motivation keeps me going. There is also a local pool bar. It’s usually a yearly thing me and my bros. We set a date and all compete to see who will be the most impressive looking. Nobody wants to be the lacking lacker of the gang so that helps.

      This is correct.
      Eating disorders happen because of addiction to pleasure.
      With an eating disorder you have a high need for pleasure and usually don't have much fulfillment outside of filling your stomach.
      Learn to live with less pleasure in general and try to make things outside of eating more fulfilling. Try to avoid easy pleasure and instant gratification like any kind of passive/easy media consumption. Gratification should be tied to effort.
      Stop eating for days and realize there's that eating doesn't even have to be a habit.
