Is there anything that can beat this? Seriously, when I eat it I feel it cleanses my veins and fills me with strength.

Grits stick to your ribs like nothing else imho. I feel full from them for a long time, but I never feel like bloated or anything and of all the time spent out in the heat and humidity I have not once ever thrown up grits.

They just take too long to make.

Make them in batches. They reheat fine.

How much are you taking? I've been thinking of reintroducing them back into my workouts because after 30 minutes I can just feel my machine running out and at that point I'm just pondering if it's pointless to continue.

      It depends fren
When I don't have much time (long hiking trips) I soak raisins in the canteen along with the oatmeal the night before sleep.
and then after an active morning I have breakfast ready along with some fruit (the raisins release all the sugar during the night and the oatmeal is sweetened, all raw).
My favorite one though are oatmeal cookies made in a similar way (macrobiotic ones)
And why not make a soup with oatmeal?
Man, one of the best cereals, not for nothing they give it to the horses

Thru hiking bozos got this stupid idea that you shouldn't make hot food or have a campfire. It is some gay ass minimalist shit where they associate actually having fun with weekenders kek. I do all of those things though because I want them to keep moving to the next shelter so I don't have to be around their weird granoloid asses.

This bunch of people always does this. They do it with everything they get their hands on (running, hiking, you name it).

I camp the same way but if you go up on the AT these people who are out there for months at a time thru hiking have a really particular notion about camping. They don't like camp fires and they don't like warm food or anything other than granola bars. It is some weird minilimalist obsession that they have and it is moronic if you ask me. They have their own stupid little nicknames for each other too. They ruin everything everything do.

I used to cook my oats in oat milk but I was pretty carb dense. Should probably try cooking them in water see if I would still enjoy
