I have a theory.
Lucifer defeated God in the war in heaven and ever since then he has posed as God, giving humans false hopes of salvation and redemption.
He created thousands of religions and gods which are actually his demon lords in disguise to do his bidding.
This way the Earth is in chaos for centuries and the anger, hatred, sorrow and violence from humans is what feeds Satan.
We're in a constant cycle of death and rebirth.
Your HYPOTHESIS is flawed
Human beings, by nature, will take the easy route - which these days is a cacaphony of sin and unjust actions. In other words, we are drawn to the devil by nature.
All religions discourage those things that are easy and fruitless, and encourages devoting time to those that are more difficult but more fruitful.
Religions also suggest the inferiority of women, and look what's happening now that we've given them superiority.
Religious texts would encourage sin and hedonism if your hypothesis was correct, but they encourage the opposite.
Your initial postulate is false, the easy route was not sin and unjust actions, as a society.
Plus some religious texts encouraged what you r morale is judging as sin
Most of the times, the easy route was number, and with number you need to repress the "devil nature" for society to work, so no : all religious texts would not necessarily encourage sin and hedonism if humans were at the origin of it.
The sense of justice and right and wrong are Lucifers “gift”. The curse that removed immortality also allowed us to call God on his bullshit when he says stuff like “I have mercy on whom I have mercy”. Two people can commit the same exact atrocity but because God likes the cut of ones gib, one is seen as righteous and the other unrighteous. But because God is so powerful there is no way to win this argument. You just have to accept the tuff breasts, and if you can’t then enjoy suffering for all eternity.
>Two people can commit the same exact atrocity but because God likes the cut of ones gib, one is seen as righteous and the other unrighteous
According to who? You literally just made that up. >But because God is so powerful there is no way to win this argument.
No, because God IS the ultimate good, his will is the correct answer objectively. It's not might makes right, it's right makes right.
Romans talks about people who are made for wrath. Not mention the multiple times in the Old Testament he mercs people for minor offenses. Hell David really didn’t get much punishment at all for killing a man to take his wife, the country suffered more than he did. And I quoted the exact scripture where God says I will have mercy on whom I have mercy. He even says Jacob I loved but Esau I hated. Esau hadn’t had a chance to anything wrong and he just hated him. Why even make Esau? Because he can and wanted to show Jacob how much he loved him.
Job even confronts God for being a total dick using his life as a bet and God’s retort was lawl because I’m God. But good job Job, you proved me right so here’s a new b***h and twice the riches. That totally makes up for everything.
It could also be argued that is why He had to become Jesus. Outside of a blood sacrifice for sins, God couldn’t comprehend what he created. That is why Paul says Jesus intercedes actively on our behalf.

Or we didn't even need Satan to do exactly that
