I watched sumo for the first time on psychadelic mushroom tea with the boys. The cultural aspects were baffeling, like how they present the advertisers on ceremonial flags or how they keep pretending to start and then back off. When they actually got around to the fighting it was wild seeing their muscles appear from below their massive girth, like watching a hippo flex. It was what got me into fitness
I watched a bout where they both hit the deck but weren't sure if it was a throw or if the person throwing was out the ring before his opponent fell/if he fell before them, so had to do a replay. Everyone in that little stadium threw their pillows I'll try to find it but I couldn't stop laughing, I don't know if it was a spectator protest or was a celebration because it was exciting.
I legit don't know how they get their traps so huge, if it's just the actual sparring builds it. I don't know if I should incorporate shrugs into my programme.
I have a similar body
Trust me, lean is better, unless you're after slavic girls
I'm ascending to bloatlord, can I get a slav gf now?
>they keep pretending to start and then back off
They have to synchronize their breathing so that's one of the reasons why it takes a while for them to get started. There are definitely guys who are a bit overweight, but the best ones are the big guys who can balance it out, or the little guys who are even less fat but more speedy and visibly muscular.
A twink could beat this guy
You sure about that?
how long did you wait to post this?
2 weeks
Every sumo enjoyer has that webm saved.
Is that Enho? Might be a manlet but he is still like 90kg yet got lifted by his mawashi like a sack of flour. Sumo got some insane strength.
Have you seen the mass on that Ladd? Tochinoshin looks like a bodybuilder under that lard.
I been watching the sumo stuff recently, it's incredibly fun with friends. Tried watching Olympic wrestling or judo but prefer sumo.
I understand that they are strong due to their training but when you are like 30% bodyfat upwards it's hard to see.
Still a fun sport to watch, bouts last a few seconds and can see different body comps clashing.
Channels like this are decent to watch if anyone is interested. Although I'm sure there are others if anyone wants to post.

The strange stuff like throwing salt is because Sumo is not only a sport, it's a Shinto ritual of sorts
Yeah there's a lot of formality in it.

It's half religious festival half tournament. For example, women aren't allowed in the ring since I guess shinto gods were based back in the day
They are impure because they menstruate
Close but no cigar
Absolute unit
Still no match for Manny
6'8 270kg
I'm trying to get this body type
I need to gain much more weight but the process has been fun and people treat me much better now that I am large.

I already have a gf, she doesn't care about body, just face
IST if you've never been to a sumo tournament you're doing yourself a disservice. Shit is mad hype, especially when it's a long match
Couldn't find the vid of the cushion throw as I'd need to sift through vids and vids but this guy is pretty well known and interesting:
Was quite light for the era and looks pretty good compared to the massive lumps in that sport.
Nah Pudzia is
Slavic hypermasculine potato head on 1 gram a week is what I want to look like
