      Don't listen to this hewbrew.
I went from 264 to 155 then lifted my way back up to 210.
I've been to doctor several times since and everything is flawless, bloodwork, liver, kidney, etc.
Just be smart about it, if you back/sides hurt you need electrolytes and organic lemon juice.

    > “ In contrast, fasting did not have any effect on estrogen, gonadotropins, or prolactin levels in women. As for men, intermittent fasting reduced testosterone levels in lean, physically active, young males, but it did not affect SHBG concentrations.” (Cienfuegos, et al)
    > “…. severe caloric restriction causes activation of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis, which may be transient, but results in elevated cortisol which could mediate effects of starvation on brain and metabolic function as well as ameliorate weight loss” (Nakamura, Yuko)
    > “ Therefore, it seems unlikely that short-term fasting would have a significant effect on vitamin D functions at the systemic level.” (Aatsiniki, et al)
    > “ Here, we show that a 24-hour fast augments intestinal stem cell (ISC) function in young and aged mice by inducing a fatty acid oxidation (FAO) program” “ Short-term fasts improve adult stem cell function in diverse tissues” (Mihaylova, et al)
    > “ There were no significant differences between the morning and evening (after 14 hour fast) values in the thyroid function tests” (sulaimani, Riad)

Not totally wrong, but still inaccurate.

I’ve seen studies saying it can increase blood pressure, but it’s mostly harmless.
For me personally, when I didn’t work 9-5 I’d lift in the mornings fasted and it was great. Now I just don’t eat until my second coffee break. The limited time window works for me because I tend to stuff my fricking face.
Also I don’t know if it’s a result of fasting, having no time, being surrounded by unattractive women at my workplace, or being severely mentally and socially fricked by the last girl I was into, but I haven’t felt the desire to jerk off or view any kind of porn in months, yet I’m having more wet dreams than ever. So that’s good I guess?

      Anonymous

Yes. IDK about the stemcells or estrogen part though. Everything else is negligible. It's like those gays who cry that artificial sweeteners "spike" insulin, when it's a tiny itty bitty insulin response.

      >I’ve seen studies saying it can increase blood pressure, but it’s mostly harmless.
      It definitely does.

It's true. No one taught me when I was a wee baby and had to get an emergency circumcision because it stole shut.
I was like 5, I only remember trying to pee but couldn't and it hurt like he'll.

Effects of eight weeks of time-restricted feeding (16/8) on basal metabolism, maximal strength, body composition, inflammation, and cardiovascular risk factors in resistance-trained males
    >Testosterone and insulin-like growth factor 1 decreased significantly in TRF, with no changes in ND (p = 0.0476; p = 0.0397).

Twelve Months of Time-restricted Eating and Resistance Training Improves Inflammatory Markers and Cardiometabolic Risk Factors
    >After 12 months of TRE, body mass, fat mass, insulin-like growth factor 1, and testosterone were significantly lower compared with ND.

Four Weeks of Time-Restricted Feeding Combined with Resistance Training Does Not Differentially Influence Measures of Body Composition, Muscle Performance, Resting Energy Expenditure, and Blood Biomarkers
    > Significant (p < 0.05) decreases were noted in BM, FM, BF%, testosterone, adiponectin, and REE,
    >The TRF group experienced significant decreases in FM, leptin, total testosterone, adiponectin, IGF-1, and increases in the adipokine adiponectin

Effect of Intermittent Fasting on Reproductive Hormone Levels in Females and Males: A Review of Human Trials
    >As for men, intermittent fasting reduced testosterone levels in lean, physically active, young males
These are all time restricted feeding aka IF, going beyond IF to extended fasts is even worse and more catabolic too.

If you're not fat as frick and (pre-)diabetic and you actually care about performance you should not be doing IF, simple as that. There's no actual benefit and it's worse for muscle protein synthesis, strength, hormones, is more catabolic to the muscle
    >muh HGH spike
that's a stress response, not a good thing and doesn't help anything
