    Yes. The only reason to limit carbs is if you’re trying to lose fat because it can make it easier to stay at a deficit.
    If you want to lift hard and build muscle, eating plenty of carbs before and after the gym is very good,

    There is nothing unique about carbs as an energy source.

    But going low carb is best to get lean and shredded, as it allows you to consume a lot of protein. Protein usually comes with fat, like yolks in eggs, milk in protein shakes, fat on meat etc, therefore its easier to keep your calories down by lowering your carb intake. Fat is also important for flavor, so unless you are a complete autist bodybuilder getting ready for the stage you want to keep fat in your macros. Besides, you don't really need the extra set of fries with your burger, the buns and sauces have plenty of carbs. In the day to day life, its easier to simply just skip the fries, drop the rice etc, than it is to come up with these perfect low calorie balanced meals that hits perfect macros.

    Going keto is moronic because it just unnecessarily limits what you can eat, and is basically an eating disorder.

    Keto is low carb, not zero carb like carnivore. Even keto channels like Eric Berg recommend a certain intake of carbs and are big on veg, and say that if you're an athlete you should increase your carb intake while remaining relatively low-carb.

    Before the pathetic accusations, I am not keto. I am a based omnivore and while I eat low carb, I am too high carb for even the most generous athletic version of keto.

        Because they eat low carb amount of honey and fruit. You realize that its a scale right? One apple/banana has like 20g of carbs. A spoonful of honey has 10g of carbs. 2 fruits + spoon of honey = 50g of carbs. That is extremely low carb. Even under 100g could be considered as low carb.

      Ketosis occurs in most lean people at least some portion of the day in some amount. Really all carb intake does is change when and how long that portion is. Unless there's some criteria specifying what exact amount that is it's all shades of keto.
