Its not a big deal but they dont really do anything, they weaken your grip and dont even prevent callouses. Use them for covering injuries but Id generally ignore them.

      >they weaken your grip and dont even prevent callouses
this. I had terrible calluses when I started lifting and gloves did jack shit for protection.

People who think gloves prevent callouses tend not to work hard enough to get callouses anyway.

That's right, I wouldn't get callouses, instead I would lose the skin off my hands until bone is exposed.
But people who don't do shit will never know this feel so they think gloves are pointless.

Depends, do you care what other people think about what you wear ? Yes. Do you not care and wear what ever you want? No. If you want to wear gloves, wear them, no one cares.

They are just pointless imo, they do not really protect your hands from callouses on heavy lifts and frick up your grip. Also they feel weird and get drenched in sweat quite fast.

They protect you from germs. Also my hands are nice and smooth, which is necessary for my sex life.

About as gay as deadlift shoes

I wear them. I still get callouses, but not as bad as without them. Machines have those rubber coated handles so you could go without gloves, but if you are using heavy dumbells, yes, you absolutely need gloves. I started using them because i destroyed my hands to the point of bleeding by cardio rowing every day for just 2 months. If your hands hurt, dont be an insecure homosexual and do something about it.

you can just say you have soft hands you don't have to make up a story about rowing to justify being a pussy

Lmao, my hands are soft but I have callouses in exactly the places where you hold a barbell, not our problem that your dysgenic paper skin rips open because you did a 3k rowing sesh you little homosexual.

no problem ripping callouses here, I bite them off in the shower

            >they weaken your grip and dont even prevent callouses
this. I had terrible calluses when I started lifting and gloves did jack shit for protection.

random-ass gloves for sure don't help, but what about the kind of half-gloves gymnasts use?

I’ll tell you what’s not gay. Being able to work out consistently for years on end without injuries because you wear bracing and protective equipment for your joins and skin.

      Anonymous

If you need protective equipment youre gay and lifting badly.
If your joints cant support the weight do more reps with lower weight, dont tie fricking straps around your joints in a futile effort to 'protect' them when all youre doing is reduce their range of motion and flexibility only so that you can look strong at the gym.
If you cant properly grip a barbell, a dumbbell or a pull up bar or whatever, learn how to properly grip it.
If your core isnt strong enough to do squats without a belt, maybe your form is shit, maybe you need to go lower, maybe you need to brace better.
All these things are just a cope, youre using equipment to push your own capacity over your natural limits and weaken your hands, ligaments and structural strength. The only equipment you need are wrist wraps and oly shoes, everything else is circumstantial and unnecessary if you work on your form, your breathing and your longevity.

what's better is you can use your lifting gloves simultaneously as your gaming gloves/internet typing gloves to decrease your risk of injuring your fingers even more they really help support my finger joints so i can be a good goy and type all HECKIN day for mr. Shekelburgstein

People are gonna think you want to keep your hands soft so you can give guys smooth handjobs

  16. 3 weeks ago
    Anonymous

They are gay, but in an indirect way because they keep your hand soft as a woman.
I once shaked hands with a guy who was a son of my mothers coworker. He was a medicine student, and a dyel as all of them are. He had a tin beard, narrow shoulders and small arms. When I shaked his hand, his grip was non existant and his skin was warm and soft. I genuinely felt that I was shaking the hand of a woman.
Hard hands with a strong grip are a sign of musculinity and are a passive show of force and will, that many do not have.
