You can fully treat sciatica using analytical psychology. Essentially you have repressed emotional issues in your life or unprocessed trauma that is too painful to acknowledge consciously so your brain starts releasing pain to distract you from subconscious emotions that it thinks are too unmanageable, such as those stemming from a painful relationship with your father. I've nearly fully treated my own chronic severe issues using this framework.

and get a book by John Sarno. Depending on how painful your emotional issue actually is it will take varying degrees of knowledge and effort to totally eliminate the pain. When your brain senses uncomfortable emotions that would be too inappropriate or painful to bring to consciousness, it will go to extreme lengths to repress the emotions including inducing physical pain. Just as your brain initiates blushing in response to unconscious shame or stress headaches in response to a long day of demanding work, it can release pain in response to anger or sadness that you cant acknowledge consciously for one reason or another.
Chronic pain tends to strike people who are perfectionists or people pleasers or on the opposite end people who have anger issues and actively seek out conflict - these are all indications of unmanaged emotional issues. It may sound far fetched, but the human condition is an odd beast and it's not uncommon to see people who get several surgeries over decades for back problems, shoulder problems, knee problems, IBS, etc. who always seem to have one issue or another. For me, my root issue was my enmeshed and subservient relationship with my narcissistic parents and cure resided in learning to feel emotions and establish true emotional independence. But more minor issues may just stem from something like feeling trapped in a job you don't like.
Arse hurts when sitting too long or getting up out of chair. Think its piriformis. Thanks for this thread.
My ass hurts if I pull in my stomach, but if i press deep into my glute with my hand I can pull in stomach with no pain. The ass is a complicated mess.
The three primary stretches of this kriya eliminated my sciatica. I mean, I did the no shit isha training and etc., But that's not really necessary if all you want is the exercises that will help
It's not though, it just takes a bit to understand it.
Look at it this way, the greater trochanter is the center of a bicycle wheel and the spoke are the muscles. Your goal is to move the greater trochanter away from the origin of the muscle you want to stretch. Also using a small firm ball can help to drive deep into the muscles. Focus right around the greater tronchanter and along the ridge of the sacrum and just inferior of the crest of your illium.

please tell us more about this
anon, focus on active sitting, so that your back is not relaxed when vertical, and the load is never put on your discs.
you need to strengthen your glutes, hamstrings, and abdominals, while continuing to get everything else in alignment

Listen here little bro,
Piriformis is the cause of your pain. Stretch your glutes like it’s your purpose on life and you will be pain free.

Thanks. Giving it a watch now.

I cured it by warming up, stretching and deadlifting, if I stop stretching, the pain will come back
>if I stop stretching, the pain will come back
doesn't this mean that something is fucked?
Stretching and getting warm removes the pain for me. I deadlift pain free.
Only sitting down for long makes it angry. Long car trips are pure painal.
Back extensions also seems to make it better, stretching the hamstrings, really stretching the entire posterior chain etc.
I've found jefferson curls trigger my sciatica like nothing else.
Back extensions make it worse initially but better over time

Did you have COVID? I had sciatic pain after both bouts of COVID.
