more like a cringe stack. the ideal sleep looks like this:
    >fall asleep <30min
    >dream
    >not waking up during sleep
    >wake up and feel rested and immediately awake. no drowsiness.
    >when waking up you feel like emerging from a deep pool of water

Don't use screens like an hour before you want to go to bed, do relaxing things like casually reading a book, then before you head in to bed to go to sleep hand write out all your thoughts in a journal. No lights in the room when you're trying to sleep and put on a podcast to distract you from any thoughts that might pop up. Done

      yeah

      How do i dreammaxx?
I can fall asleep normally but rarely recall any dreams

      My advice:
      >Keep a dream journal. Record dreams, their content, and your sleep/wake times.
      >Read the frick up on dreaming/lucid dreaming. I recommend Stephen Laberges work, it's basically essential reading.
      >Once dream recall is good enough (2-3 dreams recalled a night), try the MILD or WILD techniques, or a combination of the two.
I admit I'm still working on my dreams, but this has really helped me. I'm going to frick anime b***hes in my dreams and noone can stop me.

        Anonymous

I remember being really into lucid dreaming and would get it decently often a while back, but life got really busy and I lost my edge, takes a lot of conscious effort throughout the day ironically to maintain your lucidity at night. Never got to shag anime girls, I’d always wake up before things got good, so I just stuck to flying around and exploring the dream spaces, lots of fun, I should get back into

None of those things made it any easier to fall asleep. Even if I'm at the point of physical exhaustion, my brain just does not stop. I've tried antipsychotics and antidepressants, neither made a difference. Doesn't matter if I'm bulking or cutting. I'm completely clean now and have just accepted that I'm never going to sleep well. The only adjustment I've made to get more "sleep" is to just lay down 2 hours earlier so my body at least rests before I try to fall asleep.

It is a misconception that you need to be “dreaming” to sleep.

If you lay in bed at close your eyes for 45 minutes before dreaming, it is sleeping. Your body is still performing important recovery functions while you lay there and do nothing with your eyes closed.

Supplements won't do shit, here's my advice.

    >No "blue light", anything from a screen especially computer or phone. Get BlueBlockers, start wearing 2hrs before bed
    >Go to bed at the same time every night, weekends, friday, every fricking night no excuses
    >No drugs, weed, xanax (any benzo), booze are all actually terrible for sleep
    >No eating for at least 3 hours before bed
    >Exercise at some point during the day, not close to bed (idk 3+ hrs before bed)
    >Minimal caffiene intake, shit stays in your bloodstream a lot longer than you think. Actually applies to any stims
    >Read before bed, idk it just puts me to sleep

This should get you to fall asleep, but it may take weeks for your sleep to improve depending on how fricked up you are. Also, this won't cure any chronic issues like adrenal fatigue, cortisol shit, good luck if you have that.

close your fricking eyes and fall asleep.
It's normal to take 20 or so minutes to fall asleep, if you are having trouble you may want to work on your mental health, meditation could help with trouble relaxing/brain fog, also you should try your best to go to bed and wake up at the same time every day, and try not staring at screens 30 mins before beddytimes.

Alcohol makes it easier to sleep and causes you to rise earlier, I try to drink at least 5 beers, fall asleep at midnight and wake at 5am. This allows me a significant amount of time to be racist on the internet each day

I just do no electronics an hour before, lofi/jazz music, no coffee/such past a certain point. I still get bad nights sometimes but I work in oil and gas and ive seen way too many people abuse melatonin to sleep.

Biggest thing, don't try to think about nothing. Letting your mind wander helps, and it definitely helps me. Besides that, get a sleep mask and maybe blackout curtains to limit light, and have some sort of ambient noise, a fan even works.

Go see a doctor, that's too long.
I have found intentional breathing (ie meditating 20 mins per day, while awake, as prescribed by a therapist) to help fall asleep faster.
I suspect the difficulty was caused by stress.

    >It takes me over 45 minutes to fall asleep each night.
This isnt a bad thing. Spend those 45 minutes going over what you did for the day, things you could have done better etc. After that, use the time to quiet your mind and focus on your breathing.
