cardio is virtually useless for fat loss as it can be replaced with more efficient resistance training

there's water retention, shit, scale inaccuracies, just keep doing what you're doing. I'd cut to 1500 if I were you

i did 1500-1600 for a month without weightlifting and would barely lose 0.1-0.2kg a week
so ive been doing 1800 for about a week or two

You stupid moron, you need to do cardio. Doing heavy shit while cutting is doing you no favors. You'll just keep retaining water and weight. Cardio, young moron, cardio.

I lost 30 kg doing zero cardio
cardio is just calorie burning, highly inefficient at that
lifting weights builds and maintains muscle and the more muscle you have the more calories you burn, the more fat sheds off with the same calorie intake

i did 1500-1600 for a month without weightlifting and would barely lose 0.1-0.2kg a week
so ive been doing 1800 for about a week or two

you're most likely misreporting calories. do NOT count calories spent exercising. act as if they didn't exist

i usually try to look for verified ones for meats and shit, even scan barcodes and scale everything.
Im not sure if im consuming too much fat or salt or something.

no only calories matter in the end, you technically could eat 100% fat and lose weight (and shit lava most likely). do you count the fats used to cook? did you count exercise calories?

no i dont count workout calories just foods i consumed.
I do sleep like 5-6 hours lately, could that be it too?

but still it's not possible that you've lost so little. or you have some massive constipation

Generally when you strength train you switch to using fat callipers to keep measuring your BMI.
Dieting usually stops water retention so weight can drop off in quick spurts, but strength training you get water retention and of course muscles aren't being lost either.

Not OP but I find calipers to be a shit method. Pinch the skin, not too much but firmly - what the hell are you talking about, how is that supposed to be any sort of accurate, I have never seen anything so crude.

I'm a big fan of just using the impedance part of modern scales to measure body fat. NO method of fat analysis is accurate, even the submerging underwater could go a few percentage either way. The home impedance scales are almost as accurate as submerging underwater and unless you are a weird body shape or something it's gonna be accurate.

Before dismissing bioimpedance scales just remember how many "deboonkers" there are out there ready to talk about how they are more informed than the mere rabble and they do this special elite thing while those morons are doing it all wrong. The bioimpedance scales work fine and no you don't need the 8 electrodes that fit in your hands, the 4 on the feet work just fine. They have also improved a lot in accuracy over time. I've seen web articles and multiple people on here perpetrate the myth that the current just goes up one leg and down the other so they can't possible be accurate however that is just not true, it's fake "deboonking" - the electrical resistance is much more complicated and will affect almost the whole body (see picture of how it goes). It literally is a decent way, if you do things like drink a few litres of liquid it will probably throw it off, but why would you do that. Keep in mind that all those litres would also affect you in the submerged and other tests.

        No they’re not
        >I'm a big fan of just using the impedance part of modern scales
        You’re a big retard
Neck/waist is probably the most accurate you can get without expensive equipment. There’s a reason the army uses it. Body composition scales are damn near useless. A lot of them are cheating with their programming. They use formulas to try and guess what you should be and skew it since impedance can have a huge variance. A few months ago I did bod pod and got 17%. Fitbit aria told me I was 24. Some Omcrom or whatever brand told me 27. Some Amazon one told me 25. Neck/waist told me 19. Save your money, just non flex tape that costs like $1

Stay mad and wrong. I suggest actually doing a proper measurement sometime. Those things are only coincidentally accurate if you’re a DYEL gay who fits into their formula. Keep ignoring evidence from people who’ve taken real measurements from $40000 machines and not a $20 bathroom scale though. Tard

              >I paid a lot for it so it must be more accurate
The people marketing those machines are obviously going to talk trash about any other body fat analysis method. BIA can actually fall into 99% agreement with DEXA which is a completely different way to measure body fat if strict behaviours are adhered to for measuring.

              >The use of multiple frequencies in specific BIA devices that utilize eight electrodes has been found to have a 94% correlation method with DEXA when measuring body fat percentage. The correlation with DEXA is as high as 99% when measuring Lean Mass, if strict guidelines are adhered to.

              https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bioelectrical_impedance_analysis

You keep talking about their formula and acting like using formulae is some sort of cheating.

Guess what - that's how every bodyfat measurement system works. Your precious body pod machine uses "whole-body densitometry", ie. density, ie. it doesn't measure fat at all, just your density, same as the underwater stuff. They then use crude formulae taking your height and weight into account to give what a typical person is the exact same as bioimpedance analysis.

You really thought it was some magical machine that tells you your fat analysis? It's nothing but a glorified weighing scales and bath where your displacement of water will show your volume. I guess another moron is born every day ready to impart their money.

I’ve done DEXA as well just not near the bod pod time frame. I was 20% average whole body. Every bathroom scale told me borderline obese. I literally have abs.
                >Wikipedia
Funny how you cherry pick what you think is saying what you want without actually understanding it, like a typical retard. What you quoted is not fucking bathroom scales. They’re much more strict conditions that happen to employ the same technique.
                >They tend to under-read body fat percentage by approximately 5kg (±7kg LoA) on average, despite showing a linear correlation with MRI-based measurements of 0.75 and 0.81 for females and males, respectively.
Selective reading is a bitch when you’re retarded. They’re wildly inaccurate. I can make better estimates by simply looking at people.
                >and acting like using formulae is some sort of cheating.
No, I’m saying the the way THEY are using them is dumb. It’s sort of like BMI. It only works within certain constraints. Why the fuck would you want a bf measurement that just gives you an estimate based mostly on BMI if you know it doesn’t apply?
                >You really thought it was some magical machine that tells you your fat analysis?
Oh the fucking irony. You’re peddling BTHROOM SCALES. Every form of measurement can have some error, but these fuckjng things won’t EVEN AGREE WITH EACH OTHER or even themselves given just a few hours apart. Honestly, how the fuck can you support something when 3 machines gave me wildly different answers and told me I’m obese?

A month at 1500-1600 calories and no weight lost at 96kg doesn't seem possible op.

Unless you mean you went to 1800 calories and haven't lost anything in the last two weeks.if so it could be water retention or constipation. Either way try stool softener and weigh after three days with one dose per day non prescription. And 2L of water per day.

It's very likely you're missing calories somewhere. Make sure to accurately count, if you use butter or olive oil to grease a pan be sure to count that.

I was in the same boat as you anon. 5'10 and 235lb, went to 2200 Cal per day and light 15 minutes of calisthenics and went to 190 in 6 months.

Now you have learned why fat people fail to lose weight.

The body literally adapts, to the point where it's almost impossible to lose weight.

What you need to do is a lot more activity, because the body can't garden gnome its way out of burning calories for that. There's plenty of waste in your everyday metabolism that the body can crack down on to keep you fat on fewer calories but exercise is exercise and it needs fuel.

      https://archive.unu.edu/unupress/food2/UID07E/UID07E11.HTM
This is such an unbelievably stupid myth that all the fat acceptance retards love to push. Your body isn’t magical. It can stop certain shit like hair growth or whatever else it seems unnecessary, but the majority of he energy it uses is energy it NEEDS. Just for an extra kick in the teeth, in the most extreme study ever done (Minnesota starvation experiment) which would be completely unethical today at 1/10th the intensity, RMR only lowered by 20% after starving them for SIX FUCKING MONTHS. Your body isn’t a super villain fighting you. Fat people fail because they have no self control. That’s why they got fat in the first place but also because retards demoralize they by telling them bullshit like this
