I don't look significantly better if even better at all after lifting for years and being able to bench 3pl and do pullups with 3 plates. Such is fate of a 6'3 skinnyfat low test dyel.

      Anonymous

probably because you're lifting for performance in compound lifts and not for hypertrophy. benching 3 plates and doing pullups with 3 plates means jack shit for hypertrophy. getting in a shit ton of quality volume over years of time is what gets you jacked

and this kids is what we call body dismorphya, when the mental image we have of our bodies don't reflect reality.

wait you mean when you shoot a photo from knee height it is going to make your upper body appear smaller than your lower body no matter the actual proportions?

      Anonymous

No it's not. He's fricking tiny. Now he's a perfectly athletic looking kid who could put on all the muscle he wants. And the fact that he thinks it's over is definitely a mental problem. But you gotta frick off with this body dysmorphia shit.

        Anonymous

body dysmorphia is very common in people who lift though

          Anonymous

Body dysmorphia isn't real. We have standardized the lifts across weight classes to tell you how strong you are. We have adapted the fat free mass index to tell you how big you are. Nobody on the high side of these numbers is dissatisfied with themselves. Those on the low side are dissatisfied because they have actually failed to achieve results.

Body dysmorphia doesn't make sense. You believe it because of the amount of other people who believe it. They believe it for the same reason. Not one of them believes it because it makes sense to them or somebody would actually post a counter argument.

                >body dysmorphia is not real because a DYEL that never claimed to have it says he feels small. And he is small so therefore body dysmorphia is made up
moron there are giant dudes that feels small, THOSE are actual cases of it.

            >Body dysmorphia isn't real.
            The claim
            >We have standardized the lifts across weight classes to tell you how strong you are.
            Non sequitur
            >We have adapted the fat free mass index to tell you how big you are
            Non sequitur
            >Nobody on the high side of these numbers is dissatisfied with themselves.
            Objectively false
            >Those on the low side are dissatisfied because they have actually failed to achieve results.
Dissatisfaction with strength performance is not dysmorphia.

Conclusion: no argument has been presented against the existence of body dysmorphia, a disorder characterized by lack of objectivity about one's appearance.

oh, and consider eating saurkraut & catching rays if you're seriously that much of a silly doomer

only issue is low-self esteem caused by porn addiction and a shitty diet
I agree, the notion that looking up to Arnie makes me mentally ill sounds notoriously familiar... "toxic masculinity" again?

                >only issue is low-self esteem caused by porn addiction and a shitty diet
                I don't think that's your only issue.

Toxic masculinity is the negative impacts of male gender stereotypes, on men as well.
Looking up to bodybuilders is not toxic masculinity.
Saying all men must look like Thor is.
