I've been on a 1300-1400 calorie diet for a month and a half and have only lost 1.5 pounds.

I've gone back down to 1200 calories a day plus walking 30 minutes a day.

    Fricking bullshit.

That's literally well below anyone's fricking BASAL metabolic rate, which is what you'd burn while in a coma. Either you're counting your calories wrong or you're an 8 year old girl.

No, what it is is the fact that when you get to a certain low calorie intake, the body holds onto the fat because it's in starvation mode. Either you exercise more, or lower the calorie intake even more to burn off the weight. It's why I lost 15 pounds on a 1200 calorie diet in 3 months versus gaining 2 pounds on a 1500 calorie diet in 4 months last year.

Thats probably what I was eating until 2 weeks ago and was losing even then. Now at 1k, Im feeing daily differences. I think I actually have my body in a state of starvation. Dont even care, other than my gut telling me to eat, dont even feel like it.

Fair enough, if you're definitely not undercounting calories then just overeat for a few weeks and go again.

Nah, Im not even dieting. this is just how much I feel like eating now. Probably going to have to start force feeding myself protean shakes or something.
This morning I ate probably half a pound of beef maybe less, some coffee with cream for lunch, now a hamburger for dinner. Thats a typical day for me.

How is that possible? I've been eating 1700 per day while walking 10+km and I lost over 2 kilos in a week.

But where does your body get the energy if not from food and not from fat? You must feel like complete shit in starvation mode and not be able to get out of bed for your energy consumption to be that low.

I did it for 3 months at 1200 calories and I had an empty stomach during the evening and night, but I lost almost 20 pounds in 3 months. I just drank a shit ton of water and coke zero to compensate for the lack of food.

I'm back on it again to lose another 15 pounds, then I'll be at my goal weight. I'm 6 feet 190 pounds. Starting weight was 208

Are you a woman. If you haven’t gotten your period for a while that means your body is in starvation mode. It has decided it can’t procreate life any more so it holds onto all the fat, reserving in case you can procreate in the future. It’s really important for women to only go like at like 1500 calories to lose weight. Oh an go for long walks near or during your period because your metabolism is very high during that period and is ez fat loss. Most weight loss guides are male centric and don’t take into account periods. Also it’s okay to eat like 300 calories more a week before your period, don’t worry

TL;DR regular periods= makes weight loss actually easier.
