Welp, so much for setting that record. Poor Thor.

It's highly unlikely you'll ever be benching any weight that could do this to you. This happens because a person's tendon strength couldn't keep up with their muscle strenght.

      Anonymous

By staying natty. No one is blowing out their pec while benching hard and grinding for reps as a natty. Even with 1 rep maxes it's so unlikely
Thor was away from blasting for a while and then figured he wants to break the record so he hopped on more gear again and you can see how his lifts went up by a ton in a short period but the tendons can't keep up with the unnatural strength gain in such a short time and this happens

Even if you powerbloat-maxed to the extreme, tearing a tendon straight off the bone is never going to happen as a natty unless you did something spectacularly moronic like negatives with 150% of your bench 1RM.
It's possible to pull a muscle, but it's never going to be surgery required levels of devastation.

Not even tight just normal. I just hadn't done it regularly for two/three years.

Custom RPE Based shit. Basic idea is a top single and back offs, starting at back off 5s to back off 2s depending on how close I am to said test. I have a coach go handle this shit tbh.

Isn't this incredibly unfair? Fricking scary too, if you think about it. You dedicate your entire life to fitness and weightlifting. You eat like a madman. You train hundreds upon hundreds of hours every single year. One bad day. One bad lift. One tendon tear - and it all slips away, like grains of sand between your fingers.
