It's illegal to buy raw milk where I live (United States). However, it is legal to buy non-homogenized milk, as long as it is pasteurized.
Is this good enough? What's the bigger issue when it comes to drinking "treated" milk? Is the pasteurization process the problem, or is the homogenization process the problem?
Ketoschizo thread (I moderate a subreddit and have never posted body)
Actually, it's a question for people with certain problems with breaking down Lactose. There have been studies done on Mongolians, where drinking pasteurized, homogenized milk caused them to get gas and gut problems, equivalent to being Lactose intolerant. However, drinking raw milk didn't cause their guts to have any problems whatsoever. The point being, something in the pasteurization, or homogenization process was causing their bodies to have an allergic reaction to whatever was in the treated milk.
But, you're totally right, this is just a "ketoschizo" thread. Frick off moron.
I went to the farm of the guy who taught me how to drive and bought some raw milk and this was in the US. It was really creamy and nice. I mean I cannot overstate how creamy it was.
Anyway I don't think buying raw milk is illegal, I think farms just can't transport it beyond a certain distance. Or something like that, sorry but it's been a while since I looked this stuff up. My point is, go to a farm and buy your raw milk.
If that's what you want to know about it for, then asking here won't matter. Only you will know what your body can take no study on Mongolians is gonna tell you. You just have to try different milks and find out for yourself.
Oh, so I just looked it up, it varies by states. Some places it's straight up illegal no matter what, but others like New York where I was, it's legal if it's direct from farmer to consumer. And it's federal law that it's illegal to transport beyond state lines.
Wonder if there's raw milk smuggling operations lol
I had the same experience, no gut problems from raw milk. You can buy raw milk in stores in states like California (usually Whole Foods type places) but in other states it’s illegal or only allowed if you buy direct from the farm. Just check your states laws, it’s pretty easy to find.
Mongolians probably have a gut bacteria that allows them to consume milk that would make us Ill. Louis Pasteur invented this shit over 200 years ago for a reason, non pasteurised milk is fricking moronic might as wel call it diarrhoea juice.
Just buy a cow and drink straight from the tiddies

Thanks man, I found one about 30 minutes from me! It's goat milk instead of cow, but I'll try it anyways.
Where i live, its illegal to buy guns without a license.
there is a guy that claimed to be in my country, he just made some friends with the right person and didnt pay taxes on the items he wanted
As long as you tolerate store bought milk there’s no ‘problem’. Tens of millions of people drink homogenised pasteurised milk without gastrointestinal problems. It’s literally just milk that’s been heated to a certain temperature and spun in a centrifuge.
Non homogenised milk tastes really fricking good though.
