It's mid February, why haven't the resolutioners given up yet?

I'm tired of getting up at 6 in the morning just to guarantee myself a spot because these zoomer hordes can't spend less than a full hour crowded around the bench

something i have noticed with the zoom generation is they go in way bigger packs. when i started you would have your rotating gym buddy that never kept with it and it would be a max of like 3 dudes. now these motherfrickers come in groups of 6-8. crazy. how do they expect to get any work done?

Zoom-zooms don't actually go to the gym to get work done, they do it because it's the trendy thing to do on TikTok and they spend more time taking pictures and talking than actually doing any work.
Kind of like how women would travel to exotic places and do cool things not to actually soak it in and experience it, but to take pictures and show everyone they're doing it.

They literally don't, I constantly see groups of them where they'll all crowd around a bench, load 1pl8 on, the one big guy in the group will rep out like 12, one or two of them will also do that, then the big guy will put on more weight and none of the other dudes will be able to do it. They all try and maybe one of them 1RMs the weight. Then they all just fricking leave.

They don't actually lift, I hate it. Lanky homosexuals just stand around and take up space. There's this one c**t that looks like the ugly mutt from Stranger Things that comes in with some of his homosexual buddies with ironic mullets and mustaches. He bumped into me once when I was doing lat pulls, , and I came dangerously to going supernova and committing a murder. I think he could tell because they stay far the frick away from me now anytime we're in together. Roaming homosexuals.

In my Gym in Germany you get zoomers with the most pathetic physiques, only a glimpse of first newbie gains, and they film themselves doing everything.

They also pose in the mirrors in the locker room. It is so fricking cringe. They have no gains, wtf are they filming themselves for and what the frick is the point of posing.

I am advanced in my lifts and I have never fricking posed in a Gym mirror. The only ones who should are roid trannies checking their physiques for actual competition.

I've noticed this phenomenon but I figure a bunch of youngsters having a group of friends to hang out with in a place that's pretty safe and benign, not getting into trouble somewhere isn't all that bad of a thing. I just wish they were a little more focused when they're occupying an area I'd like to be moving because with 5-6 people in a group it takes them like an hour standing around chatting to each get their reps/sets completed.

Oh well, I don't hate zoomers. I see them as no less stupid and ridiculous than my generation...in fact I definitely despise other millennials a LOT more than I could ever hate zoomers. I just wish their moronic lingo was not the way it is. NO CAP NO CAP BUSSIN SENPAI. What? I don't even know what they're saying to each other. last week, 4 zoom zooms took up both leg curl and extension machines at my gym. I went to use one since it had been 5 minutes since I saw anyone on it. A zoomer who had been talking with his buddy on a machine over came back and said “hey I’m using that”, told him didn’t look like it. He literally hopped back on it, did 2 reps and then said I’m done.

this, they’re going to be there for at least another year when Tik Tok programs their new fad.

Yeah, I always bring a jacket or sweatshirt to the gym from fall through early spring, wear it there and then just hang it over whatever I'm using to claim it. I went one time and there was a barbell rack, 100% deserted. My brother and I walk over and start putting weights on the empty bar and some 50 year old guy who looked like Hamid Karzai comes walking over and starts saying how he was still using it. I'm like hey man it was empty with nobody on it and he says "oh no no I was on it but you go ahead I guess" in a tone like he's fricking upset about it so I just say alright then and go about using it and he sort of huffs off like he's mad. How in the frick am I supposed to know if he was there and walked away for 30 seconds without a single marker showing that it was taken? I don't understand people's thought process or lack thereof.

there is an old man at my gym that will use 3 different machines at the same time, we call him nazi because he is white and wear sunglasses. once he came over to me to ask how many sets i got left. i thought it was weird because i was doing leg curls and he was doing lateral raises with the dumbbells.

after a few minutes watching his behavior, i noticed he was doing lateral raises, lat pull down and calves at the same time. he went to different corners of the gym because these machines are far from each other, and he even complained to my friend when he went to train seeing that the machine was clearly "unoccupied"

Because it’s the blind leading the blind if the „strongest“ guy can only do a 1 plate bench for reps. Even that guy has no concept of what progressive overload is.
Or, equally as likely, because they always go in packs of 4+ they are just too lazy to change weights all the time so they just get a shitty workout in with 135.

I think for many it's lack of knowledge. For others it's ego. Take my brother for example. I finally convinced him to lower the weight he was trying to bench because he wasn't doing even half the ROM he should. I'm his younger brother and am benching 225 so he thinks he should be doing 225 but I'm doing full ROM reps down to my chest and back up.

Last time we went I told him when he was finished his first set with rabbit reps to take a 45 plate off each side but do his reps slow and steady with a full ROM. He got through 12 reps and became tired. The next day he said how sore he was and he realized he wasn't even working his muscles at all the way he'd been cheating on it. I just want to help him catch up.

This reminds me of when I asked some guy to alternate on the squat rack a while back. He was half squatting like 40 kg at first and then I put 50 kgs to overhead press. I ask him if he wants me to take out the extra weight and he says it's fine to just leave it.
Goes and squats that weight barelly for like 5 half reps.
Then I put 60 kgs to squat, he squats that weight for like 2 half reps, finally I put 80 kgs in the bar he looks at it and just leaves lmao.

going to the gym can be a real risk nowadays, not because you might drop a plate on your feet, but because some dumb tiktok thot might want to make a victim video on the same day you wanted to do a heavy workout and looked 0,5s more than you should in her direction
not to mention zoomie sarms goblins hogging bench and making you stay there way longer than you should
I used to love public gyms in the 2000s and 2010s, now I would never step into one.

my only complain is when the old fat ladies get off the cardio machines and use the benches to do press and shit with fricking 10 lbs; zoomers are ok, they tend to move the frick away or at least are smart enough to take turns

here in beaner land ppl will finally leave the gym when the spring break holidays kick in

went to the gym this week and saw a fat zoomer helping out his bros learn how to bench press. they were all super skinny and benching 95lbs with the bar at a 45 degree angle. Then when the fat zoomer got on he did 225lbs with perfect form and no warm up. The only zoomer I've ever respected in the gym

I've been a proctor for some high school kids taking their finals and examinations and whatnot, and it's surprising how many of them don't know how to save files (just simple word documents) locally. They literally do not know how to save files on their computers.
Getting them to save something as a PDF was another thing entirely.

      >They learn differently
I've seen them try all different ways. Truth is they don't learn period. Their shotty parents gave them tablets and phones to shut them up, and they missed all their developmental milestones. There is nothing you can do for them. They are stupid.

mostly zoomer stories in here so here's a recent boomer story I had:
    >boomer follows me around the gym
    >sets up and does exactly what exercise I'm doing
    >always grabs slightly higher weight than me
    >does horrible agonizing form with cheater reps
    >avoids eye contact
    >never says a word to me
    >follows 45 minutes of my 3 hour routine and then goes to the spa
kind of felt he was based. would have been his friend.

I saw 2 zoomers deloading a bar. One was talking and not paying attention, the other one kept taking plates off. At the last plate he took a barbell to the chin

My zoomer step brother is absolutely fricking shredded, he's 17 and has autism. Visible abs, squats heavy and deadlifts heavy because I told him to. He's been lifting for a couple years now. Why can't they all be like this? I watched a pack of them doing fricking cleans with the worst form into OHP without clips on the bar, and the weight fell off multiple times. They were behind me while I was trying to squat. Another lot came and asked me if I was using the rack I had set up while I was taking a break, got all huffy and left the area. I haven't been able to use the calf machine or leg press for so fricking long
