      This.
The good quality research comes from good quality and quantity of data. If you tell me what anon said and the supporting evidence is 4 papers with a terrible sample size talking about lengthened partials being superior for growth to justify a quarter rep heavy preacher curl that snaps your tendons in a million pieces across the gym floor, i would say frick you, gay ass basedence wannabes. The "growth" might asswell be caused by the swelling of the tendonitis flaring at that point. There are mathematical methods that can be used for low sample sizes but i've never seen a single human biomechanics study using them to propperly assess the data. Talking from a particle physics research background

There's only so much content that you can make with fitness related videos.

This. Some of these mfs put out content every day. The fitness influencers who actually know anything are giving out mostly normie advice that everyone who's been lifting for more than a year has already seen. They have to either drill into nitpicking bullshit or make clickbaity videos to keep finding topics to make content about.

      Anonymous

Fitness is literally a solved game. Everyone knows what to eat and how to train to get big, and has for at least 50 years.

Fitness influencers' profits rely on churning out weekly videos about a topic that's already been researched thoroughly and there's nothing more to add, so they have to bandwagon on trends, make up "crazy new neverbeforeseen methods for muscle gain" etc.

true, unless u're willing to say the truth: it's all fricking wrong, everything, all of it is bullshit, but then u get deplatformed ;D

            [...]

            >Muscle activation doesn't mean a muscle will grow. EMG is not a good predictor of growth or whether or not an exercise adequately trains a muscle
that's u bot, then u closed the thread because i shat on ur pullovers above and revealed what i found out regarding calves (gastrocnemius to be precise)
why EMG blew up for just a second and then was shut down? not because it doesn't work, it does work, but it would soon expose the whole bullshit industry and zogbot that owns u bot doesn't want people to know, zogbot wants people stupid, stressed, injured, forever
that's for ex. only rear delt isolation that works (8th minute, unilateral, one light dumbbell very short 4-5 in motion):

so far i have found perfect isolation for calves, hams, quads, sartorius, lower abs + obliques, upper abs, mid and lower chest, upper chest, bicep, lateral head of trike, rear delt, and side delt - everything with one db, body-weight or creating pressure within body
i could stop right there but i'm just getting started, with newly established principles there is no limit, i can't even fathom the depth of knowledge that is out there
no, most of those things are not present anywhere in any form
            even my yellow fellow:

did curls (jokingly in the beginning of some video on bicep tendon pathology) like regular bro - he doesn't know, i do, i have found it 😀
            >There's only so much content zogbot lets u propagate
there, fixed it for ya bot, enjoy

pullovers are great like that, you don't see people doing them because most people are lazy and don't have the shoulder mobility to do them, and don't know how progressive overload, so they cope with dumbbells. two plates with an ez-bar will do some work. you have to post studies because you can't do the exercise. no one you know can also do the exercise. thats the problem.

bot, i just accused u of manipulating archive, adding posts AFTER thread is closed, and u're blabbering sth about pullovers, i also accused u of conspiracy against humanity basically - do u have anything in ur defense?

no, there isn't single movement with abnormally heavy stick that isn't harmful, not one and pullover is no exception (and u don't even need barbell for it to be shit), it's got nothing to do with mobility, human anatomy says so - lat is pulling on raised humerus, pulling shoulder and acromium forward anterioriy tilting it on that raised arm, making short work soft tissues in shoulder

Not only that, they recover slower because they're the biggest muscle group in the human body.
So not only they can outgrow most muscles, they also take away from other muscles groups by hogging the nutrients you eat and can stall your progress on other exercises.
If you have crazy legs and spine DOMS you can't even bench press, OHP or row.

It's called axial fatigue, basically heavy squats/pulls will make your other lifts (except maybe bench) worse the next few days. Bench probably still worse due to overall fatigued CNS from squats/DLs though. From a powerlifting perspective, one needs to program around it
From a bodybuilder perspective, especially when you're natural, you should spend 2/3rds of your training on your upper body and at most 1/3rd on the legs. As a natty you want Arnold-tier legs at most since you're never gonna have an extremely overwhelming V-taper otherwise, not bulging t-rex tumors

      >UHH SORRY TO BOTHER YOU BUT ARE YOU SCIENTIFICALLY OPTIMIZING YOUR RPE
      >NO IM NOT TALKING ABOUT TRAINING
      >ARE YOU WRITING DOWN YOUR RATING OF PERCIEVED EXERTION
      >I HAVE A BOOK WHERE I CATEGORIZE MY RPE FOR MY SHITS, ORGASMS, LIFTS, AND EVERY TIME I YELL AT MOM
      >YOU SEE UMM THE PROBLEM IS THAT IT'S NOT SCIENTIFICALLY VALID FOR YOUR DELTS TO BE THAT BIG
      >BY ALL METRICS YOUR DELTS SHOULD BE SMALLER BASED ON THE BLOODWORK I RAN ON YOU, THE GRAVITATIONAL EFFECTS OF THE MOON CYCLE, YOUR RPE, AND YOUR SET-REP-SLEEP-SEMEN DYNAMICS
      >UHHH WELL THE PROBLEM IS THAT'S NOT SCIENTIFICALLY VALID YOU WANT TO SCIENTIFICALLY OPTIMIZE YOUR TRAINING, I WAS SEVENTH AUTHOR ON A PAPER PUBLISHED IN THE AMERICAN JOURNAL OF THE JOURNAL OF AMERICA WHERE WE MADE SIX MICE EAT A MULTIVITAMIN AND THREW THEM AT A CINDERBLOCK WALL

"broscience" is a disparaging term for a collective folk knowledge, refined over centuries by thousands of grugs all seeking gains. broscience gave us the adjustable barbell, the set, the rep, and every split under the sun

trusting the broscience: i will do incline bench for upper chest because the pros of the past three generations recommend it

trusting the science: i will do incline bench for upper chest because the experts finally did an EMG study and said that's how it works

The broscience part is about the moronic explanations people would come up with for why they worked

Broscience is a lot like chinese medicine, it works a lot of the time because of brute trial and error over a long period of time, but the explanations are pretty moronic as to why it works.

weird how science became a cult like religion.
these people always bring up the experts, but disregard there can always be another solution that can also be correct.
