This is why I always arrive to the gym early. Resolootioners only show up when it's convenient for them so god forbid going to bed early to lift first thing in the morning.
>lifts more than he can handle
Why do they always do this? I see people put like 190 or 200 on the bench, struggle to barely lift it once, sit on their phone for fifteen minutes and then lift it again.
They think other gymgoers will laugh at them for lifting the bar + some babyweights when the truth is that nobody gives a frick about them so they'd rather risk injury than lift smart.
Resolootioneers ain't so bad.
I went to the gym last night, and because it was full of resolutioners and all the regulars took an off day to avoid the rush, the squat rack and bench press spot were free because newbies are barbell shy.

I don't even see them touch the bar in most cases. Though this could be a Yurop thing and murrican newbs actually do bar stuff.
I’ve observed the hugest guys tend to lift the lightest weights
Even though I'm a year in, this still kind of baffles me.
I do 4x8 reasonably close to failure and guys bigger than me are lifting 70% of what I do and they don't look like they're really exerting themselves.
Is that what it looks like if you're just lifting to maintain muscle and strength instead of trying to make progress?
No one cares you obviously dyel and redd1tgay. Also you benching more won't do anything for size or a fight or anything for you really. Also 4x8 is like nothing lol

I do this. I bench 200lb for 5. Typically over 3 sets. 2-2-1 I find that my body responds better to smaller heavier lifts than repeated light lifts. I pause at the bottom of my bench, which most people don't do.
and there’s absolutely nothing you can do about it fren
I've literally never made a new years resolution in my life. Find it rather dumb
Can't fail if you don't try amirite
Don't try. Do. Unironically this
>special time of year
>time to try
mentality is why you're ngmi.
For me, it’s only going to the pub on weekends. Will probably only last a month

years ago I resolved to never make another new year's resolution

Seeing the nice old ladies walk around and reading the labels on the machines was kinda cute ngl
I do 4 of those and I've been going to the gym for years
I'm finally going to live my dream of chasing someone down, tackling them to the ground, and shitting in their mouth.
I was a resolutioner. Ran 531 bbb starting Jan 1st. Now it's 6 years later and I'm jacked. Wagmi
