It's the only advantage of the left-hand side bodytype

For the rest, it is almost impossible to look good with a decent upper body development

    this is complete bullshit.
i have a torso that is two inches longer than the average person and legs one inch shorter than the average person and i fricking hate squats.
i literally feel like im about to fall over any time i squat down.

Post body just by curiosity? I'm in the left-hand side case and the only exercise I have ease with is Squat.

I'm not posting body, but my inseam is quite literally 29 inches and even with the absurdly long dress shirts everyone wear now days if i lift my arms up you can see my stomach.
I stand by what I said, torso nearly 2 inches longer and legs one inch shorter.

Deadlifts are easy as shit because it's literally just stand up for me. However squats fricking suck.

Deadlift (and all exercises where I have to bend my back) are horrible for me, my lower back hurts a lot even though my form is correct

      >i have a torso that is two inches longer than the average person and legs one inch shorter than the average person and i fricking hate squats

I have torso/leg proportions of a fricking gorilla. 29" inseam at 6'2" and I squat atg and it feels great. You must have a form or mobility issue. Doing deadlifts on the other hand are awful.

You must have really long femurs and short tibias.

        Anonymous

i mean i guess that's possible, but isn't that exceptionally rare?
I'm literally king of manlets and it's due to my inseam being really really short.
my calves look like fricking monsters on these short stubby legs also.

Yes it is rare, about as rare as my lanklet ass being barely able to squat parallel period, chest to knees.

So when I squat for reference and this is ass to grass every time.
My butt is literally sitting ontop of my calves.
That is the natural position for me.
So maybe the tibia is really short.

I'd think so, you could measure. My ass is never to grass because if that happened my center of gravity would be behind heels and I'd fall backwards.

Do you have really narrow hips or something? Try opening your stance a little bit and rotating your toes out like 5-10 degrees.

I squat about 45 degrees splayed with high heel weightlifting shoes. Barely parallel.

Maybe you just have bad mobility. That, or you have a really bad proportion of tibia/femur lengths, but the former is much more likely

        >Maybe you just have bad mobility
What about feeling like he's about to fall over says mobility? That says balance. Mobility would be "I feel like I can't squat all the way because of my ankles". Watch the video.

You forgot option 3 - short torso and long femurs but with slavic hips (this is a thing, shallow hip sockets are responsible for deep squats but slavic people also have the highest rate of hip replacement) so I have great mobility and can focus on the legs by getting deeper and keeping the spine more upright.

It is kind of weird how emphasized squat is in lifting when dwarves are best at it. Oh well, I'll deadlift you and your max squat with my long femurs.

I'm not a complete dwarf (177cm) and I still have short legs and long torso. Actually, all the dwarfs I see at gym are more of the right-hand side body type

      >dwarves are the best at it
      >Cbum notoriously tall classic physique Mr. Olympia has a textbook perfect squat form.
It really depends on your ratio and mobility.

It is all ratios and it's just statistically more likely for shorties to have long torso short leg (femur). But I get irritated when people project like anyone can squat like they can, with a vertical torso. If I squat 2 inches with a vertical torso I'm falling backwards.

Nothing you said refutes the claim. Look at the top squats in the sub60kg classes it's all dwarves with 300kg squats who can't pull 3plates deadlift

I have short torso and long limbs, i still squatted 5plates. Learn to brace and stop coping, you're probably stronger on deadlifts

I'm short legs and long torso, so I'm not complaining about my performance on that exercise. I'm complaining that it would be more difficult for me to achieve an aesthetic result, particularly this ‘bulging torso’ effect.

Ah yes, usually long limb physiques are superior in esthetics

No just long limbs are superior for esthetics in general even dyels look better

I'm long torso short legs and squats seem impossible for me. I can squat ATG with straight back without the weight, but as soon as I put anything more than my BW on my back, the form goes to shit with the weight shifting on my toes etc

    anyone can lowbar squat

  9. 3 weeks ago

i can't squat with a bar on my back without getting some type of lower back fatigue the next days after. no pain while squatting. i can go ATG with the bar on my back, but i'm pretty sure my lower back is rounding or something.

When i look in the mirror while doing a goblet squat or a bodyweight squat, if i go below parallel, my lower back is rounding. i have worked on mobility and flexibility a ton, worked on core strength, etc.

no matter what i do, i really think my anatomy is just preventing me from going below parallel without my lower back rounding.

is there something i can do to replace squats? it just seems stupid to try to go up in weight if every time i get low enough to really "squat" i'm potentially setting up my lower back for an injury. i also hate trying to just go to parallel or whatever the level is before my lower back rounds, because i feel like i could go lower, and like i'm stopping myself from reaching full ROM.
