      ketolard thread

      Kek.

I fricking hate ketogays so much, I have to deal w them at work relatively often and they all have such a smug expression when they say they follow a ketogenic diet and say things while you can tell they are thinking “I am so smart and this person will be able to tell because of canned pro keto lines that I read on Reddit”. Anyways sir, you have mostly occluded coronary arteries and will need a CABG. Also I’m putting you on our low saturated fat and low sodium diet orders while you are here.

Not nuanced enough for these particular patient populations. HFr/pEF patients will absolutely benefit from a low sodium diet and low saturated fat intake is linked to decreased CVD.

I don’t even care if it doesn’t help in an acute setting (though the low salt 100% does acutely), I do it for regulatory boards not being pissed but also to piss off keto patients and hopefully send a message. I do more often than not hear patients liberalized their diet at follow up though, so thankfully most of them learn. I hope you do too someday.

Not that guy, but you undermine your credibility when you use a term like "goyslop." These words are made up as shorthand for IST people who don't think and don't want to think. Using them pretty much signifies that you've not devoted enough thought to the subject to opine on it. Maintain your credibility.

This only applies to sugar / carbs. If I keep eating protein eventually my body will tell me to stop, if I keep eating fat eventually my body will tell me to stop, however if I keep eating sugar my body will let me consume until my stomach is full, and want me to consume even more sugar and carbs later when my blood sugar crashes

Excess protein / saturated fat isnt bad because it doesn’t even exist. If you are eating whole foods your body won’t let you eat excess protein / saturated fat

Excess sugar is the only form of excess that exists, because sugar is bad for you, I’m not for keto though, as ketosis is a starvation state in every single mammal and will hurt your health long term

Instead eat plenty of protein so you avoids ketosis and the body makes the perfect amount of glucose through gluconeogenesis

How do you eat so much protein? Are you supposed to only eat eggs and chicken? Where do you fit in the vegetables, beans and fruit? Grains I can live without, but how are you supposed to eat just fat and protein? Iirc even cheese has carbs, so what gives? What combination of food exists, that's purely fat and protein?

It’s sort of controversial and disputed but flaxseed has a ton of natural estrogens or whatever way worse than onions. But a decent amount of non pozzed bodybuilding sources say that it might actually work by functioning as a weak estrogen and therefore blocking an actual estrogen molecule from affecting a receptor site but personally I don’t really know what to make of all of it

That checks out in theory; in practice it'd only work if estrogen receptors were already working at or near their max capacity (at least over 50%) and I don't know enough about specific hormone receptors to say there

Phytoestrogens from these sources are weaker than Estradiol (E2) for sure. But that doesn't mean they aren't estrogenic, particularly in men. They're called "partial agonists" because they bind to estrogen receptors, but are less efficient in activating them than literal Estradiol. Estradiol is the single most potent sexual hormone in humans, overwhelmingly more so than Testosterone.
So, if you're a woman in the middle of ovulation with peak Estradiol levels, flaxseed and s 0 i will indeed saturate your receptors and put you in a "moderately high" estrogen activation, instead of the naturally "very high" activation that would otherwise happen.
For women in other phases of her menstrual cycle, and for all men at all times, those phytoestrogens will always increase estrogenic activity.

Well, maybe save from turbo gyno dumbfricks who will pin 2g of Testosterone EoD without an Aromatase Inhibitor, for these guys flaxseed and s 0 i might actually REDUCE their estrogenic activity.

Squirrels are herbivores, eat nuts and roots and fruit. But every chance they get they’ll sneak into a birds nest and east the eggs and chicks if they can get away with it. Humans are meant to eat meat just as we’re meant to eat plants, because meat has the most energy and it’s easier to digest

                >and some animal products
For some reason you seem to think they're less important, when in reality things like having a good throwing shoulder, long distance running, and making fire are all huge adaptations humans have evolved for the express purpose of hunting and digesting meat better.
                Wonder why that is.
Wonder why human breast milk has saturated fat in it if it's bad for your health.
Wonder why in the past century since ammonia fertilizer was invented and the supply of grains and uber processed carbs and seed oils have exploded in the modern diet, omega-6 intake has increased drastically while omega-3 ratios have tanked, and omega-3 ratios are important for cardiovascular health, yet for some reason it's consumption has dropped.
Wonder how people kept a balanced 1:1 or 1:ratio (instead of the modern diet where the ratio is more like 15:1 on average) when animal products like organ meats, eggs, and fish are the only natural place to get bioavailable omega-3, since dha and epa are the only useful ones to animals (humans), while ala from plants converts at a fraction of a percentage to a useful omega-3 (and generally these plant sources of polyunsaturated fat are chock full of omega-6 fats so they're counterproductive anyway).

Which is precisely why our kidneys are able to process excess salt from our bodies to the point where you don't need to give a frick if you are healthy. I have talked to some normies who regularly smoke and drink but insist that salt is really terrible for you. And they keep getting lightheaded when standing up because of their low blood pressure due to lack of salts, but normies be normies.

      >Found the ketogays. I bet none of you will post body.
Why don't YOU pst body, buddy?
Let's have a look at your little vegan limbs, lmao.

Why are vegans so obsessed like that?
Is it your nutritionnal defficiencies that turn you fricks into Schizos?

Almost every single thread about Nutrition on IST has annoying Vegans crying their eyes out at the mere thought that people might enjoy
      a meat-based diet.

based thread except as someone has alluded to, keto is for morons. I find a nice balance 80% meats, dairy, fats, etc. 20% carbs is a good balance (give or take a bit either way, probably more carbs).

yeah that's a good point. what's the real red pill on brown rice? I used to swear by it but now I just get decent quality long grain white rice. I'm not sure there's a huge difference is there?

this board shits on onions because of phyto pseudoestrogen but cow milk is literally full of feminizing mammal estrogen but you drink it like morons

humans are omnivores but adapted to plants with a small amount of meat and animal products. Just come out and say you enjoy them and thats why you consume them. stop pretending they're good for you, red meat everyday is not healthy, youre not a carnivore, humans didnt hunt animals everyday they ate plants for the overwhelming majority of human history and ate meat when it was available. saturated fat clogs your arteries and red meat sits in your stomach for days because humans arent adapted to process it

Athletes are literally starting to go vegan because its more efficient and they perform better

you morons recommend drinking saltwater and boron, im waiting till you tell me that drinking paint thinner is healthy, this board is joke and has nothing to do with human physical fitness

      which plants

      which species of plant

      which ones

which plant allowed humans to consume 3000 calories a day?

which plant grew during the 6+ months of winter paleolithic man endured?

You are beyond moronic for actually believing humans evolved to eat plants, please have a nice day immediately you waste of oxygen

How much of that are you going to find? You realize these modern large juicy fruits and tubers we enjoy now are all products of agricultural evolution? What do you think people did before agriculture + hundreds if not thousands of years of farming shitting seed pods then? How are you going to live off of nuts in the winter?

Dry and store nuts? I mean obviously we ate meat and fish as well, but acting like ancient humans were carnivores is moronic. We ate whatever we could get our hands on at the time

was saying the opposite in that humans ate small amounts of meat.
Where are you going to find the amount of nuts to average 2000 calories of nuts for at best 3 months of the year, from one season of gathering? Now level that up to a group of people, who need to travel to follow animals, and carry 3 months of nuts with them, for every single person, how is that logistically feasible?

3000 calorie a day? For cavemen? They would be lucky to hit 2000 calories a day their whole lives. You cavemen worshipper really understimate how scarce food was back then.

          You're an absolute moron
Modern sedentary men can maintain weight at 2k calories, but if you're constantly hunting, scavenging, and migrating you will not live long at all.

Cavemen ate calorically dense food and meat was readily available.

Bruh I've taken a stroll this Sunday in the mountains which have historically been a cradle of human development.
Ther were so many mushrooms growing in between the evergreens that it would have been impossible to gather all of them even in the small area I searched. If you could spend a whole week picking mushrooms, and somehow safely store them for winter, you could survive on that alone. Not to speak of blueberries

The human diet is not eating processed slop. "Meat" that is 50% meat 50% butcher floor scrap fried in seed oil has next to nothing in common with a slice of liver.
Same as how a real fruit is nothing like consuming a from concentrate corn syrup glass of diabetes.
