Idiots will buy low fat Greek yogurt and will eat it with peanut butter.
Gotta hit those 100g of daily PUFAs somehow

I had brunch at my wife's aunt and uncle's place once, they are both overweight. They buy the sugary fruit flavoured zero fat yogurt and then stir in either honey or maple syrup to make it even sweeter.

I got bored of eating plain greek yogurt and looked online for topping ideas. First 5 results:
      >PEANUT BUTTER
      >CHOCOLATE SAUCE
      >MAPLE SYRUP
      >BROWN SUGAR
      >HONEY
I hate Americans so much it's unreal. Why do they feel the need to turn every good into a desert ffs? I just want to add something savory to my yogurt to make it less boring.

too close to eating a bowl of cum, no thanks

              Nuts, fruit, plain

I use raspberries/blueberries with almond flakes

I'll try nuts. I feel pretty moronic for having never though of that before. Walnuts seem like they'd be good

Stir in protein powder for extra gains, it basically turns into pudding.

I tried this once with chocolate whey powder and it was so sweet I felt nauseous. Never again.

Yeah that common, your heart needs to pump blood to your digestive system after eating. Also certain foods can spike your blood pressure, like high sodium. Your heart beating faster doesn't mean you are energized and stimulated though.

Every fricking thing my mom has ever told me. For reference I've moved out years ago and am married and have a kid of my own. I'm 6'1" and 200 lbs at 12-14% body fat, yet she (a smoker, overweight, body of someone at 70 despite being in her 50s) thinks she knows more than me. I love my mother, but it takes everything to resist spegging out at her boomer normie takes.

    >You can drink as much juice as you want, it's fruit.
    >Too much fat in your diet is bad.
    >Working out is bad for you heart. People have heart attacks and they run marathons! (Versus the billions who do frick-all and die anyways at even younger ages, they are living well I guess)
    >You should limit how often your wife breastfeeds the baby. (note to all anons, you cannot overfeed a breastfed baby)
    >Are you sure you wouldn't want to use formula?
    >All food has to be served with sauce, dry food is bad. (this one isn't necessarily IST related, but just fricking dumb to me)
    >Protein shakes are bad, but alcohol is good for you.

Literally every dumb fricking fitness thing you've ever heard, she's told me. When I told her that she was my sole source on nutrition as a kid and that made me obese, she claimed it was "baby fat" (I WAS FRICKING 15. ITS NOT BABY FAT AT THAT POINT. THAT'S FAT). I told her I only lost weight and got fit as I learned about nutrition and training on my own, she told me it's genetic.

Like I said, I love her, but man sometimes she opens her mouth and I want to bash her with a sandal.

Calorie deficit is probably the most difficult thing to explain to people. Usually you have to break it down to basic physics for them to just barely understand. My boss told me that intermittent fasting would make me fat even if I was at a calorie deficit. I told him that it is impossible to get fat while at a calorie deficit, you cannot create matter out of nothing. It's been about 4 years, I am a healthy 160lbs at 5'9" while he is 200+ at maybe 5'7"

What is the problem here? If its home-made 100% fruit and water and no sugar then its ok. Its summer and I'm here with my parents and my mom prepare me everyday a juice with just carrot, lemon and water and I drink like 1L of it

Fruit contains sugar naturally, anon, it can still be high in calories. If you take that into consideration it is like any other food, but >people think "natural" stuff can't make you gain weight

        Anonymous

If you get rid of most or all of the pulp, you're getting rid of all the or most of the fiber. As a result the sugars spike your blood sugar and long-term can cause diabetes. If you just chuck a whole fruit into a blender and consume it as a smoothie, that's fine. The only risk you'd run there is that you would ingest it "too fast" and when you're not satiated instantly you might eat another snack, thus doubling your calories for that snack. But that second bit is just a question of willpower and being conscious of yourself.

But filtered juice, from a macro perspective, is no different than soda.

        Anonymous

The problem with homemade juice is: do you ever just sit and eat 12 oranges? What would happen if you did?
Also, most juices and even certain fruits do not have enough fiber to help break down the excess fructose. You will store it as fat and you can develop diabetes from it.

        Anonymous

The difference between the sugar in fruit and the sugar in candy is that your body has to break up the fiber in the fruit first to get the sugar, so it is released more slowly and doesn't spike your blood sugar which can lead to sugar crash in the short term and lead to insulin resistance, metabolic syndrome, diabetes, etc in the long term. Fruit juice is like drinking candy because it's fruit with the fiber already broken down.

Black person what do you think a fruit is if not water, fiber, and sugar? And what do you think you're left with when you take out the fiber?

        Anonymous

Carrots and lemons are very low in sugar, so those wouldn't be a problem. But other types of juice typically contain as much sugar per serving as soda.

If you get rid of most or all of the pulp, you're getting rid of all the or most of the fiber. As a result the sugars spike your blood sugar and long-term can cause diabetes. If you just chuck a whole fruit into a blender and consume it as a smoothie, that's fine. >If you just chuck a whole fruit into a blender and consume it as a smoothie, that's fine.
The blender still strips the fiber from the sugar, so the sugar will still get instantly absorbed. Sugar water with added fiber is almost as bad as pure sugar water.
