Nicotine is a stimulant that specializes in short term focus.
You can test it for yourself at the shooting range.

The modern American diet is a bizarre phenomenon but it's a byproduct of three things. The absolute fricking size of the United States, corn and the great depression. During the great depression businesses had to keep the supply going for dirt cheap and still make a profit. So what they did is they substituted common foods for cheaper alternatives, butter and beef fat for margarine and seed oils, standard cheese with american cheese etc. Then they realised american households kept consuming these products even after they regained their economic footing and so they kept on selling them.
Simultaneously, the size of the United States meant that you couldn't sufficiently transport goods from one end of the country to the other without them going bad. So to deal with the fact, chemists all over the States kept looking for ways to make food last longer. That's where most modern preservatives popped up, one of the most famous products being wonder bread, whose selling point was how long it lasted before going stale.
Lastly, corn was the most grown crop in the states and so it was used in a variety of foods. Corn syrup, corn flour, corn oil, dextrins, corn feed etc.

        Redpill me on pasteurization

          Anonymous

Pasteurization kills bacteria but also enzymes. It extends the shelf life of products at the cost of a harder digestion, some even say that some bacteria such as those found in fresh milk are probiotic and produce lactase, the enzyme which can break down lactose in lactose intolerant people. There is a legitimate argument to be made with pasteurizing milk. On the one hand it's not as nutritious as raw milk but on the other it would be impossible to supply the whole country with fresh milk without it. Also, not all farms are hygienic enough to support a steady raw milk supply.

But for things such as the goyslurp in OP and honey? It's a complete fricking meme. The blue drink is just water, corn syrup and food colouring. There's nothing to fricking pasteurize. And as for pasteurized honey it's downright harmful to the honey. You're getting an objectively worse product. Raw honey is not as spreadable and gets crystalized with time or in low temperatures. Some filter it to get it to be more spreadable but that still keeps the natural enzymes of honey. By boiling it or pasteurizing it you get rid of all the benefits, and you're essentially left with runny fructose syrup. And get this, honey by nature is antibacterial. It doesn't spoil. Some researches found honey in a Roman tomb and tasted it because it had not gone bad in 2000 years. So there's no fricking need to pasteurize it apart from selling it to brain-dead consumers who buy it over raw or filtered honey because "it spreadable tho!"

When you say that lactose intolerant people could drink milk if it’s unpasteurized it makes everything else you say lose credibility. That’s simply not true.

He's right about the honey, at least. Honey is one of those things where you absolutely have to buy it raw/organic because otherwise it loses all of its health benefits and is just sugar. If your honey doesn't crystallize it's shitty, overfiltered honey.
Also I haven't heard about the Romans but Tutankhamun's tomb had edible honey in it and that was roughly 3000 years old.

There is not even such thing as "lactose intolerant" or else infants would just fricking die sucking tit milk. What people are allergic to are cow whey proteins, which cow titty milk also supplies enzymes for if not pasteurized.
