Wouldn’t it be easier to just do these on the ground with a smith machine?

The the very least you won’t look like a faggit lol

Floor pressing is a triceps exercise, Larsen let's you go to depth. It's actually a good accessory to bench though, it let's you gain more consciousness of your scapula during the movement like a floor press does

Based. Having your feet on the ground is not real benching.

      >Reverse grip bench is for the Aryan elite. Sorry i dont make the rules
I wanna try this variation, I heard it lets you tuck your elbows in more so you get more pec activation. Is this true?

I've always wanted to incorporate reverse grip, but you need a partner to unrack for you. If you unracked normal and then reverse off your chest, your setup would be fucked

depending on grip width. you can go noticeably wider on reverse grip due to your shoulder being in a better position. the self unrack is a bit of a pain though.

          Why not smith machine?

Yea but how would you unhook it?

Not for me. Its dependant on the geometry of your skeleton/musclesinsertions. I get a huge tricep stimulus from it.

Do push-ups accomplish the same, more or less?

      Anonymous

Up to a certain point but once you can hit 40 or so without stopping you either need to load weight on your back or start doing increasingly memeish variations.

Just do Hindu Push Ups first and then Narrow Push Ups right after to target the arms and chest, if you want bodyweight circuit that literally kills all reason to do bench press if you are including OHP in your lifting part of the programming.

They accomplish the exact same thing except for they net better gains for some reason. Like the other dude said, after a certain point, you need to add load, but yes they are a superior exercise. Most people will never get to 35 good form slow rep speed pushups anyway, so you can likely milk them for all they have for a long time
