Ivan is the reason I stopped squatting and deadlifting

He made me realise the entire thing is just about it being hard, and not that it actually gives you any results

Ivan has that slave like old fashion mentality that a man should just do hard stuff in life for the sake of doing hard stuff regardless of the results

This is an old fashion mindset that was grinded into the minds of plebeians to be productive and produce for the elites and everyone else and don’t ever question it and just do it even if you get nothing out of it

This is Ivan’s entire system of belief in life and him applying it to squatting was how I finally realised it is a fricking meme

So I replaced Squats with Leg Press, it’s easier, and I get better results. Work SMART, not HARD, working smart beats working hard every fricking time

Don’t fall for this slave like mindset of “if it’s hard it must mean it’s better” bullshit

Any negative post talking shit to me I am preemptively disregarding as you being a similar peasant minded fool like Ivan is, don’t bother replying because you’re basically born to be a slave, you’ll never understand what it’s like not to have that slave mindset, so nothing you can say will change my mind, you will try to shame me and say I’m lazy or not a man, because that’s how you and your fellow slaves keep each other in check, well that doesn’t work on people who aren’t slave brained, so don’t even waste your time

    Do pic related, you can also use a barell variant such as the Barbell Overhead hold, Deadlift Hold, Front Squat Hold. 3-5 max breath hold reps of each exercise.

              The ironic thing is you can actually train the legs way better and easier with a leg press and train the lower body muscles to failure 100X easier than you can with squats

              It’s not even up for debate.

              Other systems of the body fail way before the Legs themselves fail in a Squat, and this is exactly why I’ve seen way better results with Leg Press despite it being a way easier lift to do, it’s so much fricking easier to get Hypertrophy from a leg press purely because it’s literally just the legs doing the work and that’s where all the stimulation is going, and there is no other mechanics in the lift to cause you to stop being able to produce work from the legs like there is on Squats

                True, Leg Press, Lat Cable Rows, OHPs, Chest Flies Pullovers and Cheat Curls, you could probably do all these with your gym's machines and get a killer body from just those done to failure, no heavy lifting on barbell required.

                I see other jacked guys doing exactly like you said, I’ve only started doing this myself with leg press. I’ll begin experimenting with other possible replacements for easier lifts and better Hypertrophy

                But yeah I see jacked guys at my gym never doing any of the hard barbell lifts, they just do the easy stuff, and to failure, like you mentioned, and they get crazy good results despite doing easy as frick lifts

    Working hard = throwing rocks
    Working smart = throwing atomic bombs
    This also why cardio isn't necessary to get lean.
    8 - 12 of hard sets a week is enough to grow.

    My father has the same slave like mindset as Ivan

    My father worked a hard job his entire life getting screwed over by his bosses, he never questioned it, because he believes life is supposed to be hard and you as man just have to deal with it, so my father worked hard his entire life, got paid pennies, never was able to buy any assets, and is now old and poor and owns nothing, because all his entire mind was is work hard and don’t complain and accept whatever life is

    I am a multi-millionaire at 36 because I never wanted to be like my father, I took the easiest path in life, I maximised everything to accumulate money & investments with the best ROI, and I was able to accumulate a ton of wealth very early on in life, all while working 100X less harder than my father ever did

    This is how life works, you should be finding ways to get the best possible results in the easiest way possible, you shouldn’t be looking for what’s hard, hard doesn’t mean it will pay off, my dads entire life proved to me hard work does NOT pay off and my own results of doing it the easier and smarter way proved my theory correct

    Applying this to lifting has yielded the same results. I’ve got better leg development from leg press, and it’s way fricking easier than squats.

    This is hilarious honestly, I’m annoyed it too me so long to apply this logic to my training, but I see my fathers mindset and belief system in Ivan and they have that same “le work hard even if results are shit and don’t complain” peasant slave mindset that will get you nowhere in life

    Some people enjoy squats. I wish I could still do them but my back is fricked. And leg press fricking sucks due to how long it takes to load up 10 plates. I can squat a 40kg Kettlebell for less reps and get a better pump

    I'm also willing to bet leg presses are much easier on the sphincter area, I'm not gonna struggle for years for 4-500 lbs squats just to get a hemorrhoided butthole

    3x5 progressively heavier
    lots of partials until reaching failure
    amazing results
