I've been eating more protein lately to get gains, but the side effect has been increased farting. Any solutions?

Ye, stop eating carbs. Not overnight but slowly reduce carbs intake by half every week for the next 6 week.

literally the shittier advice. Diluting your protein with carbs which usually has fiber in it, helps. Digestible fiber helps, non digestible fiber personally makes my stomach worse. Make sure you're only eating 1gram of protein per LEAN pound of body weight, not regular body weight. If you're over eating protein this might help. Bread, plain bread, helps, less fats helps, eating vegetables or fruit for the fiber helps. Less dairy, even if you're not lactose intolerant that shit is hard to digest and can make protein issues worse.

You need to accustom your body to the protein intake. The fact that you are farting means you are having problems digesting the protein.
Get back to your baseline and increase the intake slowly and steadily - basically progressive overload.
Also you don't generally need a lot of protein, carbs (and fats) have a protein sparing effect, so you can get around with having 110-150g protein a day and you're good regardless of cutting/bulking unless you're a specific case. Go watch Jeff Nippard's vids on the topic

I dont think this is protein. Look at the carbs you are taking or dairy.

I've been on keto for two months+, now leaning towards just eating meat, some oils and olives. eliminating greens like spinach, asparagus (fiber) really made it so much easier for my stomach.

Spinach is good for you and has like zero calories, why would you ever exclude it?
I always thought of keto is protein + veg, how are you going to grow big and strong if you don't eat your vegetables

keto is just being in ketosis. You can gulp rapeseed oil and call it keto.

my bowel movements are too much to bear, I decided to eliminate fiber, spinach included.

          >my bowel movements are too much to bear, I decided to eliminate fiber, spinach included.
You can either keep this shit inside you, and I mean literally keep the shit inside you or you can have it come out in a bowel movement.
Of the two options why do you think that the first is the solution?

Do you think no fiber = no pooping...? That is a ridiculous thing to think and not based in any fact, by the way.

Fiber doesn’t directly cause you to poop, but it promotes peristalsis which is what causes you to poop. So having a proper amount of fiber in your diet will help keep you regular.

Fiber does not promote peristalsis and you don't need fiber for "regular poops." Everyone in this experimental study went from bad poops -> perfect poops after going on a 0 fiber diet. Additionally, there is no evidence that fiber is beneficial for pooping beyond epidemiology which is using people eating the Standard American Diet as a baseline comparison, which is flawed for obvious reasons.

        >spinach is good for you
Spinach is an absolutely useless food and has no benefits you shouldn't be getting from other sources. Not to mention most of the nutrients it has have very low bioavailability anyway.

Protein doesn't cause farting, modern indigestible foods cause farting. If protein is making you fart it's because you're eating modern processed stuff like powders or supermarket cottage cheese etc. One of the most direct and quick changes when cutting out modern foods is that you stop farting almost overnight. Vegans and similar modern food addicts fart constantly and the number one health problem they suffer (among hundreds of others) is poor digestion.

Protein farts aren't real. You're eating too much fiber and not enough meat.

Gas is a byproduct of inefficient digestion by your gut microbes. Over time they will change and stop producing so much gas. Consistency is the key.

No, your digestive system doesn't just perfectly adapt to everything you're eating. There are people who produce a ton of gas every day with the same diet, and that's because they are eating too much fiber.
