Why didn't he become a powerlifter instead of following that bodybuilding pipe dream?

He did during the Hindenburg era. I don't remember him lifting any heavy weights just getting fat but he defenitely said he was going to powerlift.

He could hardly bench 3pl8 during his hindenburg phase. He just wanted to get away with eating Burger King and Dunkin Donuts.

He could also bench over 3pl8 iirc

Jason unironically has great muscle genetics. It's a shame that he's a literal moron who can't diet or plan his training

I just recently hit an OHP PRN of 210 5RM. Theoretically I should be able to get lmao2plate but that first rep is always the hardest. I'm afraid to try and snap my shit up.

where the frick are you guys training? i do 1plate for reps and i have never seen anyone in my gym that comes even close to that. and there's some pretty strong and swole dudes there

the swole guys at your gym are just roided normies who are not autistic enough about the hobby. Many such cases

At my local normie gym. I'm the only one there who trains OHP seriously. Most I've ever seen anyone else do there is 95lbs. But that doesn't really mean all that much when I also rarely see anyone ever squatting more than lmao2plate or deadlifting more than lmao3plate

same but i think it just comes down to people not training ohp at all. all the big roided dudes in my gym do bench and accessories

      >Theoretically I should be able to get lmao2plate but that first rep is always the hardest
That's because you're bouncing at the bottom of every rep after the first. When you do a single rep you can't bullshit your way into calling it legit if you let it bounce.

On top of the hip autism when it was a competition lift they'd do a little drop at the bottom to get the lift started.

There's a difference between bouncing and stretch reflex. I don't bounce the weight but stretch reflex still makes your muscles activate better. It's the same as how paused squats are harder than regular squats where you're in and out. Difference is that OHP starts at the bottom without doing a negative first like with squat/bench/etc

For AS LONG as somebody has to deal with normie life shit (job, family, relations, gf/wife, errands, God forbid kids) they will NEVER be able to reach any level of excellence.
It is a cross to bear, living in the world.

I keep tweaking my neck while doing my OHP working sets at 185lbs. As in it causes enough pain that I miss weeks’ worth of workouts.
