          Jay Cutler was competing with people that were using as much steroids as he was.

          Personally I'm of the opinion that all bodies work differently. Some will react better for high volume, other for high intensity and who knows what else.

          Cutler's workouts are interesting because it was really fast

      Seems to me Cutler had among the best training methods. He still looks great today while Ronnie Coleman, his biggest rival, is a complete broken down mess of a man today. I prefer to train with a few reps in the tank myself for most exercises. It feels better to me and seems like it drastically will cut down on potential injuries. Many of us have strenuous jobs as well. So imagine training to failure all the time and then going to your work to have to push and pull shit when your muscles are already fatigued and just about ready to snap because you wanted to train like Goku in 200x gravity for a fight.
