    Just work out before work. I'm a construction worker and personally ngmi if I gotta do it after. I did have a ripped coworker who could take concrete for 12 hours then go lift weights but I swear he was back on meth after prison. Although maybe he really gained stamina from working out all day when locked up.

          I do mechanical design and I like it, It's just sometimes I don't feel like spending 8 hours working on CAD programs but it is what it is. I previously worked on a call center and wanted to end myself.

            Yeah, when I think of office jobs the worst I can immediately think of is call centers. You handle 20+ screaming angry customers a day and end up mentally drained and just go home and pass out. The year I worked in a call center felt like a year of my life I was just watching go by like the Fast Forward in Click.

            I hated that fricking job but always excelled at it despite my shit KPIs. I always "joked" that if they don't like my methods they can just fire me. I'll always remember some 50+ year old guy come up to me one shift and silently asking if I also feel like I'm just too tired to do anything once my shift is over and I just laid into how tiring and crappy work is. My routine for a year was just getting home, trying to drink coffee to stay up, eating a calorie deficit because can't really eat much in the call center, then passing out.

            They're also full of the fattest fricks you'll ever meet because they start getting the "call center weight gain." I personally sleep with a dental guard now because I'm so permanently stressed if I don't I'll just grind my teeth down to nothing. Bros, if you can and if you value your gains, never EVER take a call center job.

            As long as you aren't strictly a drafter, you can relax since people tend to not know how long it takes to do these things. Like I make an effort to make my drawings nice, but I always take it easy, so nobody gives me trouble

    Figure out a better routine. Working hard to cook might just make you more lazy at work. Get canned chicken meat (Keystone is best, chicken and salt are only ingredients) and frozen veggies that can be thrown in the microwave. Also get nut butters and flax seeds for fats and just weigh and eat them straight or put them on rice cakes for carbs. Its easy and all can be made to have good macros. No need to spend so much time prepping food just by in bulk at a grocery store.

    You have plenty of time. I am just now finishing my 12 hour shift at my physically demanding job. I am about to head to the gym to lift for 1.5 hrs. When I get home around 9pm, I will cook my lunch and dinner for tomorrow. I will be in bed and asleep by 10. I will wake up at 5 and start again.
