if 1500 kcal is like a difficult amount of calories to manage for you, you've failed before you've ever tried. Stay fat.

In the past month about 4 times. I still eat at a deficit on my cheat days so I still lose weight. Unfortunately restaurant prices have been surging recently.

Used to be twice a month, but I'm done. They've kept me from progressing for months.
I would eat 15k or even more cals because in my head "cheat day" = eat whatever you want, like actually whatever you want.
I'm an ex-fatass. You can only imagine.

Only when I hit a hard wall in my training or mental. Calls for a cheat day and a lot of sleep and it doesn't happen often. Normally I can get 8 lifts done in about an hour, but the other day I was so beat down that it took me 2 hours to do 2 lifts properly. Could barely function in the gym. Took a few days to reset and now I'm ready to crush it again

What would a normal cheat day look like for you that you eat 1.5x a WSM competitor? That shit is insane

        >I would eat 15k or even more cals
        how is this even possible

I actually tracked it on July 4 (morbid curiosity takes over sometimes), and here's what I totalled up:
        >30 oz Vanilla Shake from Restaurant in my town (Naming it would doxx me) - 960
        >2 Double Stuf Oreos - 70 each
        >3 Lemon Poppyseed Muffins - 410 each
        >Mike and Ike Box - 520
        >4 Large Round table Pizza Slices - 240 each (960 total)
        >24 Marshmallows - 25 each (600 total)
        >1 Cookie - 80
        >~ 100 cals strawberries (Guesstimation)
        >4 Large bowls of cereal - 700 each
        >3 Slices of Cheese Danish - 80 each
        >Half Watermelon - 700
        >4 Cups of Ice Cream - 400 each
        >Frozen Party Pizza - 700
        >1 Bagel plus Peanut Butter (2 servings) and Jam (2 servings) -740
        >3 150 cal chip bag - 450 total
        >2 Chocolate Bunnies - 450 each
        >1/2 Packet Mashed Potatoes - 220
        >2000 cal pasta

        Total: 14,950 calories

I am NOT proud of that shit. I had MAJOR Binge Eating Disorder through my teenage years (started with a serious ice chewing habit in childhood, would eat 15+ lbs of ice a day since my family's ice maker was phenomenal). As should be obvious I still retain the stomach capacity from those...dark days.

What the hell? I have two giant Shawarma bowls with hummus and steak, some pasta with chicken and broccoli, oats and protein totaling 4500-5000 calories once a week and I call it. Craziest workout afterwards. But this is something else.

Yeah, it's a viscious cycle. I can lift heavy, run, and keep active on a permanent deficit, because on over 90% of days I have an iron will. And then when the "fun" day comes, I manage to blow through progress that, if left unabated, would have had me impeccably shredded by mid-February. I've been lifting and dieting for real since May of 2021. I STILL look like shit due to retaining excess water for weeks at a time (which will happen if you eat that much) and the ensuing fat gain (I am living proof that the body absorbs Every. Single. Calorie. Put into it.)
The body pic I usually post to BTFO LARPers (Pic related) is from March 3rd, 2 days before a cheat day, after I had finally gone 2 months without one. I look like a pregnant DYEL by comparison right now. And no, I'm FAR too ashamed to post what's going on more recently.
But that's over now, I'm a week and change deep on a 1500 calorie a day cut, hitting my protein despite the low calories, and going just as hard in exercise.
I WILL undo the damage. I WILL attain ottermode at long last. I WILL make it OR I WILL DIE TRYING.

That's more manageable than I thought it would be. Unreal man. What kind of diet do you follow while having that level of capacity? I'm formerly morbidly obese and I'm struggling not to be hungry all day eating 3-4 meals a day

My normal diet, not counting cheat days or my current cut (described above), consists of a 2,500 calorie OMAD, eaten at around 8 AM, consisting of whatever I feel like that day. Typically I lose 1-1.5 lbs a week on it.

Tbh you are trying to maintain a physique your body is telling you not to.

Nothing wrong with an 18-22% bear mode. No one cares about your abs nearly as much as you do. Including grills

              I'm

What the hell? I have two giant Shawarma bowls with hummus and steak, some pasta with chicken and broccoli, oats and protein totaling 4500-5000 calories once a week and I call it. Craziest workout afterwards. But this is something else.

I think cheat meals are OK but a lot of people including me who do cheat meals have or have had eating disorders. Most of my adult life though I've been eating deficit and OMAD because I've been super busy, like maybe I'd eat 5 1600 calorie days then one day I'd go absolutely all out. It used to be worse and I'd crush some McDs but I started making my own for financial reasons, and reverse engineered some Shawarma from my local joint.

I haven't completely fixed the issue myself but I've found that making my own food and finding healthy ways to satisfy my cravings like making a healthier alternative or portion control worked wonders. The other thing is that I've associated reward centers with food a lot, so I've been recently trying to reward myself with something that isn't food like getting off work early and doing some woodworking or playing piano to be way more productive and prevented me from craving food all the time and it gave me some leeway to stop being so restrictive with my eating while making my "cheat days" as aggressive. Just some ideas bro WAGMI

Damn, I love my carbs but I can't eat more than 800 calories of pasta (including sauce) without having to force it down

I'll be honest, yes. I do feel disgusting. That's why I'm over it. Every single one of those little sugar nukes (which taste quite good in my opinion but let's agree to disagree) is a little distaster I'm inflicting upon myself.
The final cheat day of my life (or at least the next 5 years) was July 22. I say this in confidence because I wasn't even enjoying the food anymore. I was just eating for no reason. Destroying my body for no good reason, knowing full well what I was doing to myself, AND NOT EVEN ENJOYING IT I JUST DID IT BECAUSE I TOLD MYSELF I COULD AAAAAAAAAAA
So I'm done. You'll hopefully find me posting a firmly ottermode physique in CBT by September.

Lookup the old spaghetti factory menu. Lots of those dishes have 2k. 500 calories of pasta 250 calories of cheese 500 calories of sauce and 750 calories of some deep fried meat.

It's less food than you would think.

Why don't you just start eating ice again. 15lb a day seems unlikely, that has gotta drop your internal body temperature significantly enough it could cause problems

About once a week. I’m trying to gain, so I actually don’t eat enough on my cheat days with my small appetite. It probably slows my progress, but I don’t really mind. Allowing myself a weekly cheat day is enjoyable, which makes me more focused on the rest of my days. It’s a good balance.

    >Diet's been going well for the last couple of weeks
    >Then my dumb brain went "tee hee it's hecking friday, time for a cheat day"
    >A large frozen pizza, a baguette with salami and cheese, a bag of chips, some sweets
    >Top it off with a bottle of cheap wine
    >Now that I think of it, it must have been like 3k kcal in one evening/night
    >Felt like ABSOLUTE DOGSHIT, bloated, disgusting
    >Why would I do it if it does not even feel good at the moment?
    >Convinced overeating is self-harm. Never. Again.
    >Mfw scale shows 1.5kg more than it did yesterday. I assume it's mostly the raw mass of the food in my system and the weight will stabilize as I will shit most of it out in the following days
    >Still, an unnecessary setback
    >Gotta remember that bloated, disgusting feeling as a motivation to not repeat it
    >Today is a new day, gotta go for my morning walk and burn off a few hundred calories. Probably gonna skip breakfast as I am still full as hell
    >WAGMI

honestly if you didn't get the chips and sweets it would have been fine. That's also my problem, if I feel that primordial urge I go all in and buy way more than I'm comfortable eating, then feel bloat and like garbage afterwards.
