imagine flipping out over someone saying the word "journey", I'd consider that being extremely sensitive, which is a very female behavior. now imagine flipping out because someone said the word "journey" to someone else, but you decide to interfere in a discussion that doesn't even involve you to express your feelings over what was said. you're literally a woman, not even a homosexual, just a woman.

Rundown on these guys? Is this the result of bariatric surgery / fast weight loss methods? I went from 240 lbs -> 150lbs and all I have to show for it are stretch marks, but no loose skin. I did it the poor person way, tons of cardio over the course of a year.

Same with me for the stretch marks and the weight difference, starting to put muscle behind the ones on my biceps now so its less annoying to look at, these guys lose weight a rate in a week that would have taken people like us 1-2 months to achieve.

Its not always bariatric surgery, you have to remember these people need upwards of 5k+ calories a day just to maintain the weight they're at, if they eat 2k a day they'll burn off 1kg of fat in less than 3 days doing literally nothing.

Waste of digits. OP isn’t healthy. The skin causes more infections and chances for sepsis. His healing factor is still massively reduced as he is way over weight and probably still diabetic. His blood still has drifting pieces of cholesterol and fats that can just as easily lodge themselves for a heart attack or aneurism. And, as another anon pointed out, the vascularity in arms would suggest at least exogenous testosterone has played a part in this “transformation”, adding more risk to his heart as his hematocrit levels are increased lending itself to even more blockages as well as making the heart work triple time pushing that sludge blood around on top of still being fat and whatever his training program is. Dude is a disaster still.

    Here's what fatgay copers can't get -
If OP pic guy had lost, say, 3-4 lbs./week and lost the fat slowly, he probably wouldn't look nearly as bad. Every fatty who starts to make progress things "must do more faster" and can frick up like that. SLOW is the key, you didn't add 300 lbs. of fat in a year, so don't think you need to take it off in one year and let your body adapt without looking like a deflated balloon.
But, even with this, he's now healthier than any 500 lb. fatgay who makes excuses and will outlive them.
You ever wonder why it is when you see fat fricks on the street, they're rarely older than their 50s?
THEY FRICKING DIE WHEN THEY HIT 60. If not much sooner. There are no 600 lb. people at retirement age, so if you simply want to have a nice day slowly, stay mega-fat until you're getting AARP advertisements in the mail and you'll probably be dead in a few years at most.

If he wears a compression shirt, he’d look fine. Sucks to accept that’s his terms and conditions for letting himself get that fat. But now he can warn other young men about the dangers of letting yourself get that fat. Can contribute to his local gym, help beginners and other fat guys look more human. food addiction + defeatist mentality

        >I'll never lose this weight, might as well eat whatever I want

and it snowballs until death, same as going into debt or any other bad decision that can death spiral

It helps to think of it like a drug addiction.
Imagine a world where crack addicts are surrounded by crack advertisements, all their friends and family do crack, it's the norm to do crack 3 times a day, every restaurant or store sells crack, and you can get crack delivered to your door in 20 minutes with an app.
Then imagine telling them they have to cut down on their crack consumption.
Sure maybe they can do it for a few weeks/months, maybe even a few years, try to change their habits, try to keep everything in order, but the entire time they're getting bombarded with advertisements to do crack, every time they're with friends or family its do some crack together, every time they do crack they have to stop themselves despite their body demanding more crack.
Eventually there's a moment of weakness, maybe it's a stressful day, maybe they didn't prepare their smaller portion of crack the night before and are exhausted from work, eventually they slip up. Maybe they just order their crack but it's better quality than they realize and it makes them remember why they love crack so much. It makes them feel good, it makes them feel alive, despite the miserable life they live. So they start doing more again, the cycle repeats.

I don’t like the drug comparison because if food was a drug it would be easily the least enjoyable. The “high” lasts only a few minutes at best and is inferior to actual drug highs. And it directly affects your body immediately.

Currently working to fix my fat frick gluttony. I honestly think it's the fricking sugar in so many things. I'll see the snacks I used to gorge on and remember how good the sweet flavor is. But then I'll also remember that there was absolutely nothing to it. I could pound a box of Twinkies and not feel full at all, despite that being what, almost 1000 calories? That's fricking terrifying. I saw a single packed Little Debbie brownie in a vending machine that was 510 calories and nearly shat myself.

Skin reduction surgery isn’t a miracle cure either. It can take multiple times under the knife and every one of them is life threatening. And the more “cosmetic” it gets the higher the bill goes. OP might get some pro bono work if he agrees to be a mainstay model for that practice, but he will eventually max out his Care Credit(tm) card and be paying 44% interest for the rest of his life in hopes of not making prostitutes vomit.

One is because you all lie to the long term fatty the same way extreme leftists lie to troonys. The morbidly obese have passed points of no return, no such thing as a normal life. There is a lot more pain and suffering ahead for them and they will have a patchwork body to remind themselves and everyone else of what they were. Even their vascular system is permanently impaired and in danger of blood clots just from the sheer amount of abuse they put their bodies through. Their hearts easily give out as it is broken and can’t adjust to the new found rapid fire stress after being under a sustained barrage of fast food. People who say they extended their lives are again lying to them and possibly themselves. When it comes to life the sad truth is there is very little we can do to add to the blanket and a million different ways to shorten it permanently. Maybe fat boy is getting some good experiences but then my second point would suggest not. Look at his scowl. He is so hyper focused in fat mentality he is the saddest, maddest c**t on the planet. I’m sure he calls it stoicism or some shit he learned from an eceleb dad, but the man clearly is not enjoying the process or the outcome. There is that other 39 year old who likes to come in these threads and flaunt his weight loss with his wrinkled gunt and big head. He always has a scowl on his face, acts like he is owed something for turning it around, ego just as obese as ever. It is like he harbors a hatred of everyone else for being normal while he “struggled” to hit baseline. That chip on his shoulder is so big his fatty self wouldn’t have been able to mouth it all. “Bow to me, be inspired by me, I carved my body back!” No, I think I will continue to be inspired by the people who managed to not eat their future. Go back to the toll booth and cry that your weight loss journey means nothing to anyone else.

His life is still better than what it was. Actions have consequences and he will have to live with the fallout of being morbidly obese, them's the breaks. Life is not perfect for any of us but that does not mean that we should despair, the guy in your pic is without a doubt more mobile, in less chronic pain, and more active in life now than in his before pic. The oportunity cost of being obese for a decade plus is never looking chiseled or cut like somone who has been fit their entire life, but there is so much more than that in this world.
We should constantly strive to be better than we are every day and sieze the oportunities that we have rather than resenting the ones that we lost.

        Anonymous

Idk man, my freind sent me the image and I thought it was apropos.
It's been a pretty well known phenomenon that men without fathers tend to collect father figures. I think it makes pretty simple sense, if you are a man and have normal male instincts but no masculine fugure to model behavior off of, especially if women are your authority figures and undermining your disposition. It strikes me as a validation thing, basically dudes connect with somone who validates their thoughts and emotions and they latch on because they are starved for an outlet.
Also, did you have any comment on the point of the post?

          Anonymous

Yeah, but they very rarely choose men who should be emulated and in turn become completely schizophrenic as they try to cobble together their god father figure. Well adjusted people tend to shake off placing godhood on their elders and understand parents are just people when they reach 16-22.

            Anonymous

Yeah, I mean in the grand scheme of things you could do worse than Jocko, but there are plenty of less savory types that get a following.
You have to remember, it's a delay in emotional development that drives this enfatuation with surrogate fathers. A normal well adjusted person will have been demistified with their parents typically around early post puberty, if not earlier. But you have to remember, these young men don't have present fathers that they are in close contact with to humanize them, they have internet personas that are curated. You need close continual contact with people to really see their living patterns, which is what you appreciate as making your parents "just regular people" when you grow up. If you don't have that, it's hard to develop past the reverence for authority stage.

I agree with this, it starts as the parents faults, and transitions into your fault when you don't realize as a young adult being a fatass should not be normal. My parents would feed me shit all the time and I finally realized at 17 how awful it was, I'm never going to be fat again lol.

point to the loose skin flap where the bad man touched you

..and I started at about 340. It won't be half as bad as the OP's picture in the end, I promise.

I can never relate to fat people who are emotional eaters because when I'm stressed out I feel nauseous and can't eat anything at all. I remember back in 2017 this girl left me, and for a month or two I could barely eat. my daily food intake was probably around 1000 calories. I was the skinniest I'd ever been, 78kg at 192cm (I have wide shoulders and hips, pretty big frame but back then I just looked lanky as hell).

to me it seems odd because when I'm sad/depressed I don't have the energy to do tasks, and eating junk food is a task.

You have to remember they have a way to eat through the pain. I am trying to find the news article I saw a while back but probably got buried. A woman died after immediately going to get burgers the moment she was discharged from her bariatric surgery. Then there is good old melon Boogie, drinking Mountain Dew a week after his surgery and eating his way beyond his starting weight with his new clown dentures. The physical pain doesn’t matter, just the other feeling of fullness and sugar hitting the brain.

Punishment for going against nature. Deserved.
