Maybe i'm seething coping and dilating, but can it be he can bench that much because his arms are shorter than mine?

yes, limb size matters a lot since the ROM is so arbitrary.

If your forearms were 5 cm longer, it would be just as if you put a 5cm block on your chest to reduce your range of motion.

Other way round, it would be like your chest was 5cm deeper.

Why do you think T-Rex have short arms and long legs? Why do you think manlets have it easier at lifting and building muscle? Why do you think manlets desire longer leg surgery, but never longer arm surgery?

T-Rex Mode is peak performance. It has the benefits of a lanklet and manlet, a manklet if you will.

My 195cm/6'5 friend is lifting 1.2pl after a year for 1 rep, this isn't basketball pussy if you want your height to play a role then you better gain a frick ton of weight like the mountain b***h.

I started lifting as a 70 kg stick and got to a 70 kg bench 5x5 after 6 weeks or so. I stopped benching early because I honestly think it's a stupid lift and inferior to weighted dips but surely 100kg can't be that hard to achieve. Should be doable in a year at most.

I mean, how do you progress with that, do you add 2 1kg plates every next session of bench or you wait until you can do more reps to add more weight? I've been stuck in 60kg for more than a month, doing the same reps

He is just stronger and if it's his first or second year lifting it's just genetics, because no one has perfect or even great diet, program or sleep until later. I mean it's genetics and not getting injured or having shit shoulders. I see adult people trying to rep out 60-80kg after going to gym seriously for some time and meanwhile 18yo kids rep out 100kg after going for 3 months.

      >HURRDURRRR 18YO TOXIC LEVELS OF TESTOSTERONE HURRDDURRR
literally no 18 year old ever is benching 100kg after 3 months of lifting. This would literally make you a national level medalist. You absolutely do not have teenagers coming out the woodwork and just doing this. It is theoretically possible that the strongest person in your entire country could maybe have this as his starting point but you absolutely cannot extrapolate it

But I see them, if I they get no injury and bench 4 times a week they can achieve it, and they are fricking 170cm 70kg themselves similar to OP's case.

Of course not every teen does so but it happens, and the bench press seems to divide men a lot. You have quite a few people on opposite ends of spectrum and not even hitting the 100kg at any point, tho not everyone does bench or they stop doing it but if you are good at it, it must feel like your favorite move.

100kg is not particularly impressive even for teenagers.
        https://www.openpowerlifting.org/rankings/13-15

These are 13-15 year olds. Notice how many are benching way more than 100kg.

        http://www.thspa.us/staterecords.aspx

These are Texas highschool records. Notice how the lowest bench record in the lowest weightclass is 130kg. Notice how many records are above 200kg and some even 300kg.

100kg isn't some great accomplishment in competition

100kg is impressive for anyone even if it's kind of average for a gym goer. You require being genetically gifted to bench 100kg when you are like 15 or even 18 but that doesn't necessarily mean being elite level gifted. There are plenty of adults who might lift or rep 50-90kg and never if ever touch 100kg and they usually just give up and move on at some point because bench really makes you good at benching only and you feel like shit if you aren't good at it.

Stop participating in a male gaze lifts and focus on aesthetics. I’m 177cm and early 2023 I benched 110kg x 3 reps but stopped benching after that cause is meaningless
