I had some roo sausages and burgers already, but they didn't come from the fricking dog food aisle. They are subject to the same sanitary rules right?

I'm sure there is a certain % of the sausage that has to be meat. Just buy from a butcher.

If you can get over the fact that eating kangaroos is basically the same as eating raccoons, go for it

I eat kangaroo because they are evil monsters and I want there to be less of them.

Roo is great protein. Used to have the sausages every morning before I switched to cheaper ham steaks I found at a local butcher. Gonna try the mince for bolognese soon though.

Eat venison too then, fricking deer are destroying shit right now because they're overpopulated

    $1.22 USD/lb
That's the price of bone in chicken thighs or drumsticks in California. Good price for red meat but why is it labeled as pet food?

It's from the pet food aisle...
I was just wondering if it was safe to eat

maybe as a whole, but I imagine the standards for handling pet food are much lower than the standards for food for human consumption so you should probably not buy THAT kangaroo meat

        huge maybe°
you can buy some and try. not a good idea to eat pet food long-term though

some factories have better sanitary conditions than human food factories
        others don't

Had some in New Orleans. It was fine, but as is all the Cajun and Creole cuisine, it was all about the sauce.
