Keto is the only diet that makes sense

I don't NEED carbs
I need meat for my muscles, dairy for my bones and vegetables for my cells
I can produce my own energy
Carbs are dead weight and make you fat
Keto is the official IST diet

Nah that shit's basically candy. You get just as many nutrients from vegetables as you do from fruit
Should only be eaten as a last resort, just like potatoes, like if you're on a cut at 5% body fat and feel like you're dying. One sweet potato and a watermelon shake and an almond milk whey shake

The healthiest plants are actually vegetables

Arnold, Ric Rrasin, Vince Gironda, etc. essentially followed a keto diet, and I remember Freddie Blassie saying something in that My Breakfast with Blassie film about how he avoided stuff like bread to keep slimmer so it's not like it's a new or revolutionary idea. It's tried and true and it's mainly vegans and guys who are brainwashed by the grain industry who think they need carbohydrates to work out.

How do you people deal with the fact, that anywhere in the world where people live the longest, people eat plenty of grains and vegetables, and very little red meat?

Sure, but first, please provide one example of a vegan who has reversed their CAC score.

All the longest living people in the world eat eggs and bacon, almost religiously

Why the frick would you want to be 95

Screw the study i linked then, if you don't believe it. Do your own research: look up the countries with the highest life-expectancy, and look up those countries' diets. It's all some variation of the Mediterranean diet, meaning a ton of carbs.
My grandmother lives on her own, in her family farm. She receives no care, she is illness-free and active, and she is vegetarian. She eat bread, she eats vegetables from her own garden. I'm telling you to skip the pseudo-scientific crap, and think for yourselves.

A country means nothing. Too many people. The main centenarian producing communities across the world all have extremely different diets and are only linked by a lack of lectins, a plant protein.

You're comparing the habits of one person, to the habits of populations of hundreds of millions. She would have been a genetic freak, and her circumstances do not apply to anyone else.

      >vegetarian
So they still eat unholy amounts of dairy and eggs.

Whenever v*ganoids parade some healthy plant based group they always still eat huge amount of animal foods, like butter, dairy and eggs. Sometimes even fish.
In fact, I can guarantee you most of these people don't even know what a "vegetarian" is. They eat that way because isn't (or wasn't) easily available to them and it became a habit.

Most of these people WILL still eat meat if you present it to them. And most of them do eat meat, just only a few times a year.

Is the meme Keto hate here a mind op?

It's not a diet for everyone but being in Ketosis is totally normal. What's the big deal with people choosing a diet that puts them in a fasted state so that they're hormonally primed to burn more fat?

Excess carbs are useful for people that will work them off. People that eat them indiscriminately can screw up their insulin sensitivity over time which makes it more difficult to burn fat when they want to. The body gets to a point where it NEEDS carbs for energy which makes them fatter. Negative feedback loop. Byproducts of carbs can also build up in the brain and cause mental disorders over time.

    Good thread.
