      i wouldnt do keto forever just rely more on animal foods than fruit, juices, honey, and especially vegetables. learn rely on your hunger since animal sources are very filling and sugar and carbs make you hungry. carbs helped me gain weight again which i needed because im not a whale. i dont get why these shizos will rave and constantly strawman about it everyday but this is also IST so theres also a good answer for you

          Some good advice for you lad, protein is good, but don’t shy away from carbs, complex carbs loaded with fiber are great for a cut and help you stay full and improve performance when combined with good protein sources and a bit of good fat like butter or olive oil. Overly restrictive diets don’t work and tend to lead you to failure, it’s better to have sustainable lifestyle changes that allow you to maintain your goal body and weight instead of having to make extreme shifts

            I've dealt with the repercussions of being raised on a soda and shit diet. When I was like 20 I fell for the CICO meme when I was lifting. I drank a bunch of fruit juice and shitty protein drinks thinking they were healthy, 'cause calories are the only thing that matters' shit-take, only to just become a fat, weak, frick. Was most likely prediabetic or diabetic, and I thought 80g of protein was a lot. Just saying I wish someone told me back then to just eat more meat, as carbs won't do anything if you don't have a base to work with.

            After spending near a decade flipping from vegetarian, to vegan, even dipping into raw vegan I've finally found a diet that works for me. Contrary to popular environmentalism.

        I don't care if medieval people ate it. It's delicious and easy to prepare. 100g of whole wheat gruel is 102 kcal and 3.9 g protein. Cope it with some fruits and spices (cinnamon and ginger is my favourite combo). It fits perfectly on my post workout meal. Also it's cheaper than oats on my country.

        They are proven to spike your blood sugar less abruptly. Brown rice in particular has something like 7 times the fiber of white rice.
        And honestly? I do enjoy the taste of whole grain things. It's shocking because even when the pasta aisles in my grocery store were cleaned out back in 2020 when the pandemic hit, there was always still whole wheat pasta. I guess there's just something about it that lardos can't stand.
