I eat a whole salmon by myself everyday in summer.

I've personally stabbed over 450,000 fish.
    Right in the gillplate.
I'm not accounting for fish that I've had to stab multiple times on account of hitting their belly. Those get to die painfully in the sea.

I've had buckets full of sculpin, gasping for air, slowly dying and asphyxiating.
    What you may ask?
A fish that is spiked from nose to tail. They are very cute and purr like a cat when pet.
Why you ask? To bully sea lions. I throw them sculpin, and they painfully choke them down, like the dumb animals they are. When they're convinced I'm going to keep throwing them fish, I throw them a big rock and laugh when they break a tooth.

Yes. I wouldn't cut out any basic macronutrient unless there was evidence it was harmful. Fat is present in nearly all foods-- you're the one doing the crazy experiment.

            >what if we ask people what they ate last year over a period of 20 years and then make assumptions
You do realize the low fat hypothesis came about because people were dying of heart disease and they attributed it to food instead, I dunno, cigarettes. It's actually really hilarious.

I realized from the carnitards and peatards that sneed oils were bad and I realized from all the vegans etc that saturated fats and cholesterol were bad. The evidence was good from both groups.

I eat a low fat diet now. No more than 10% of calories from fat. People were right in the 80s and 90s, fat is mostly useless and bad for you past the necessary amounts.

      Pretty much.
Eat fruits. veggies and lean meats all you want.
Reduce processed carbs and fatty meats/sneed oil to a only necessary level to survive and keep up your hormones.
Pure fat doesn't degrade in nature fast, the frick you think that stuff does in your body.

If you weren't here in bad faith you can deduce my point from my sarcastic response. When you do keto you take away all temptations, it's the same as having zero tolerance for alcohol for an alcoholic. You cannot tell an alcoholic it's okay to have the occasional organic red wine. You cannot tell an obese person it's okay to keep eating processed carbs and I'll stop you and say no obese person is going to realistically eat only fruits and veggies for their carbs.

Bros do some people just have an "inflamed look" to you? I'm a bit older now and see this look in so many I grew up with, taking in the form of boomers all too early.

This guy is lean and by his 'tism and all the energy he poured into this lifestyle (stressed, low IQ) he should be doing fine, but to me looks inflamed. I've seen obese people who look less inflamed. Brad Pitt for instance has the opposite of this in his presence, young men and healthier younger people in general as well. But SARMS zoomers can look extremely healthy in terms of being lean and strong but many have this inflamed look to me.

Just my 'tism though. Also that steak makes me feel sad.

I'll never understand this. I tried keto and was happy with it, but always assumed keto meant lean protein + good fats (in reasonable quantity), like a salad of greens + tomatoes with a coffee spoon of olive oil and a cut avocado along with a chicken steak

      Anonymous

Keto always meant high fat, and the greens turn into butyric acid in your colon which is a fatty acid that's saturated. "Good" fats are saturated, at the very least avocado and olives aren't seed oils though. Would do better with sugar +saturated fat the two preferred forms of energy for the body.

How long until people finally admit that health is 95% genetics 5% diet and if former is shit its impossible to eat your way into healthiness? There's a not a single documented "superfood" that actually worked outside isolated cases, nor there is a single super-diet. Ultimately, our bodies will happily utilize any nutrients thrown its way and convert them in all the right acids and hormones. All that stress about eating probably raises blood pressure lmao.

Have you considered your mistake is oooking for a single anything? A single diet, a diet cause of health. The whole project for you is taking every single human being on earth and going “this is the thing that produces results in every single case” but humans don’t work that way. We know they don’t work that way and we’ve known it forever. That is the reason there is no one diet that will result in optimal health for everyone. Furthermore, you are an idiot for thinking you can eat your way out of some of these things. Who told you that if you just “eat healthy” you can avoid disease in your 60s? It’s never been that way at any point in time ever. You can be extremely healthy and disease can still get you, yes, even heart disease. No, that doesn’t mean it’s gene fatalism.

Your genetics only gives you a potential, but how you live for 20 years have way more impact than your genetic code.
Diet for example can change your epigenome and thereby how healthy you are, how long you will live, how sick you get etc

I drink lots of vodka. That cleans out my system, and even cleans my teeth (I haven’t brushed in years, and haven’t had a cavity since).

I also eat a liverwurst sandwich pretty much every day – to counterbalance the effects the vodka has on my liver. I make my sandwiches on seeded rye (because it’s the healthiest bread), with mayo (because eggs are the best protein; I use kewpie, because the msg makes it taste better), coarse mustard (good for the white blood cells), zucchini pickles (because they taste good), and a bunch of baby spinach (just for filler; it could honestly be left out).

I also eat a lot of canned fish (mostly sardines, but also the occasional fancy smoked oysters) on saltines. They give you all your essential amino acids, and provide a nice opportunity to try out various hot sauces, which are generally very low in calories, while high in flavor and immensely prodigious to healthiness.

Aside from that, I drink large amounts of water (anywhere between ice-cold to slightly chilled) every day, always through a straw, and sometimes with a lemon wedge.

To each their own, I say, but I’m just shy of 30 and am doing better than most of you.

What the hell is this diet, there's absolutely 0 bio available protein here, and no fat either really except the butyric acid you're getting from the fiber in your colon. The two macros that are literally the building blocks (fat and carbs) for your body is utterly deficient in this picture. Even the carbs for energy is lacking since a lot of it is just starch which is harder to digest than simple sugars.

Stress is the biggest factor in stroke and heart disease
Even if you do everything else right if you're stressing yourself out all the time doing it then you're going to have health problems, age like shit and have a shorter lifespan.

This is why you should pick a career you can do in your sleep and keep a balanced lifestyle.
You could bust your ass and make millions of dollars but at what cost. You'll still be a miserable fricker and look 50 at 35.

Balance is key for life satisfaction.
Discipline is important, and actually good discipline and a solid routine is actually less stressful. It's also important to have some downtime, which may vary depending on your week.
There's some ratio of work to downtime that's ideal.

    Tldr stress kills

I don’t know why it’s so hard to accept that there’s no panacea diet. There are at least three different groups for whom a certain diet will be generally optimal and any one person can be in any one of those groups. One person can be extremely healthy on a largely animal-based diet while another person can be extremely healthy on a largely plant-based diet.

dude, fasting for 16h won't make a difference if you eat 0.5kg of lard every day, good luck with that, if all you eat is meat and eggs, atleast try to eat the leaner cuts, you will still get more than enought fat, if you have 2 eggs a day that's probably all you need...

that guy ate waaay too much saturated fat. Being fit for a decade is a small drop in health compared to decade of a certain diet. The harsh reality is human bodies are fragile meat eaters have too back off sooner or later.

Theres a reason why brian shaw and eddie hall can only walk a few blocks before getting gassed. And all those old meat junky body builders have heart problems and or are dead.

Pretty much a "balanced diet" with fruits, veggies, grains/starches, dairy and meats. However I eat alot more meat and dairy comparatively to grains/starches because I feel better that way. I also cook the plant foods for a long time to deactivate the anti-nutrients sufficiently. No seed oils, HFCS, GMO foods, added sugars. Basically how people ate for thousands of years.

So how come everyone points to mike mentzer and screams "HE BUILT HIS FOUNDATION ON VOLUME TRAINING INTENSITY IS A MEME!!!" but somehow feel comfortable saying that Michael here who built 40 years of metabolic health on SAD and had a genetic ApoB cholesterol disorder, went carnivore to try to fix it, but finally succumbed to a near stroke fricked up not with SAD but with carnivore?

      >finally succumbed to a near stroke
Nothing actually happened to the guy in the OP. He bought an Apple Watch and it gave a notification about a potential health problem. It was preventative surgery.

The carnivore diet was probably in the process of healing him and the surgery was probably unnecessary. It's not like they did tests, waited a bit, and did the same tests again to see if he was getting worse. They just immediately sold him surgery.
